bONES
Am I missing the part of the post where it tells where this is taking place? oooops..hehe that'd be good ole harbourfront center...CIBC stage same place Los Lobos played last summer (i think you were both there for that one...weren't you?) and it's entirely FREE! i saw The Sadies back in June with Jon Spencer, Cuff The Duke and The Spades. The Sadies kicked ass that night! They rock, especially when they get their folks up on stage with them to deliver some sweet old timey gospel tunes
Patchoulia
Nope, I was not at Los Lobos. But I am sure I can find the waterfront--it's that big damp area just south of my house, right? The Sadies are great. I love 'em. Unfortunately, they most frequently play the Horseshoe in Toronto and I hate that venue.

bradm
If you go tohttp://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/summerfestivals/toTwang.phpthere's a "Free" graphic at the top right, and no links for ticket info, my guess is that it's free. There's probably a contact phone # somewhere on that page, which would be the best way to get info, I figure.Aloha,Brad

DevO
Wow, sounds awesome! Who is Bazil Donevan?I ended up going down to the Harbourfront for Luke Doucet... Caught about 5 songs. Melissa McLelland was onstage singing, man she's got such a sweet voice! Her name really rings a bell but I don't know how I know it. Maybe from Ladybird Sideshow? After Luke Doucet came Billy Joe Shaver.. Oh my lord was he ever BAD. I left after three songs.
can-o-phish
Yah, would've loved to have caught the Sadies with the Blue Rodeo fellas...must've been a nice moment. Bazil is the bass player for Blue Rodeo and the drummer for the Sadies played with Blue Rodeo for their first two CD's (I believe).
