Wyrd stuff

The Wyrd Sisters, seem to be trying to get $40 million dollars from entertainment giant Warner Bros, Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker, and Johnny Greenwood and Phil Selway of Radiohead.

here's the story

I get a kick out of it because I don't think they would ever have made the $40 million in damages that they are claiming. You'd think a band that has the $40 million dollar potential would have invested more time in their website. How many people have heard of them until now?

I've heard of them, but I used to be heavily into the Ottawa Folk Festival, and I'm sure they've played there.

I've been a big fan of the Wyrd Sisters since the early '90s, but I never saw them as a 40 million dollar band ... more of a Canadian folk-circuit sorta thing.

Didn't they take their name from Shakespeare, anyway?

I'll be interested to see how much success they have with this suit. (I expect there'll be a quiet settlement for a small fraction of those damages, and we won't hear of this again.)

I emailed them and told them they were worth $10 bucks and that they should have taken the $5000 that was initiallly offered to them. I can't fathom such greed, $40 million? you gotta be f*cking kidding me.....
