bouche
The Wyrd Sisters, seem to be trying to get $40 million dollars from entertainment giant Warner Bros, Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker, and Johnny Greenwood and Phil Selway of Radiohead. here's the story I get a kick out of it because I don't think they would ever have made the $40 million in damages that they are claiming. You'd think a band that has the $40 million dollar potential would have invested more time in their website. How many people have heard of them until now? bradm
I've heard of them, but I used to be heavily into the Ottawa Folk Festival, and I'm sure they've played there.Aloha,Brad
badams
I'm trying to get 10 mil from Brad Pitt for using my name. To be honest though I'll settle for $50 and a case of beer.
Velvet
I predict if they win the suit they'll break up within a year.Good luck to them though.
StoneMtn
I've been a big fan of the Wyrd Sisters since the early '90s, but I never saw them as a 40 million dollar band ... more of a Canadian folk-circuit sorta thing.Didn't they take their name from Shakespeare, anyway? I'll be interested to see how much success they have with this suit. (I expect there'll be a quiet settlement for a small fraction of those damages, and we won't hear of this again.) deranger
I emailed them and told them they were worth $10 bucks and that they should have taken the $5000 that was initiallly offered to them. I can't fathom such greed, $40 million? you gotta be f*cking kidding me..... Edited October 5, 2005 by Guest
