The Chameleon
[color:blue]Hey y'all, the Chameleon Project is super excited to be booked to open this show in the land of Bush and Coca Cola...details below about our impending invasion ------------------------------------------------- In support of the forthcoming "New Heavy" feat. Mike Patton DUB TRIO feat. members of G-Unit/Fugees/Birth/Actual Proof When respected session musicians (for some of pop and hip-hop's biggest names) get together to jam, an amalgamation of DUB, heavy metal, ambient, and grindcore are usually not the genres you'd expect to result. But that is precisely what you get with ROIR recording artists DUB TRIO. "We're all professional musicians, so even though we play as Dub Trio, we also work a lot as a rhythm section for hire," drummer Joe Tomino tells Billboard.com. "Or people may hire us to produce their record or hire us for gigs. We're a tight rhythm section that basically turned into a band." Although Dub Trio is the members' top priority, all three can be heard elsewhere. Stu Brooks is the bass player for G-Unit and plays on theTony Yayo single "So Seductive," while Joe Tomino is drumming with thenewly reunited Fugees. D.P. Holmes has logged time with emo band Like Yesterday, which also features Taking Back Sunday's Matt Rubano. Dub Trio will release "New Heavy" the follow-up to its 2004 debut, "Exploring the Dangers of." While the group remains largely instrumental, the new album's standout hit "Not Alone," ia a collaboration with Faith No More/Fantomas principal Mike Patton. They will also be appearing on Mike's forthcoming album "Peeping Tom". Nasty, heavy, bad-ass, pounding, and extremely progressive music. I don't even want to give away what they're going to do, but I've heard it, and it's amazing...take my word for it! w/ special guests (Toronto) FRIDAY MAY 12 @Soundlab 110 Pearl St. @swan Buffalo NY Doors 930pm . 18+ . $7 Ticket @: Home of the Hits. bradm
Great news! And good luck...but...what arrangements have you made for getting across the border? I've known a few bands (e.g., nero) that have gone across, and the paperwork can be pretty involved, and time-consuming (taking months sometimes).Aloha,Brad
