Converting Files

LJFH

Install it ... double click on the file you downloaded or whatever and follow through the steps. It might ask you to reboot afterwards, not sure.

Then you should be able to watch the movie in whatever software you normally use to watch video (Windows Media Player, etc..)

xvid is basically the same codec (coder decoder) as divX (notice it's a backwards acronym!) which is also MPEG4. It's a pretty damn high quality compression system for video and audio and it's open-source, meaning that it's WIDELY used in the bittorret and warez world.

read a bit more here

As the D-man said, download the codec for Xvid and you should be able to just open the video in Microsoft Media Player as it's really just a file that can understand the compression system.

soooo...what'd you download LJFH?

"movie title". HDTV.Xvid-LoL.torrent

How big is this file? If it's actually a torrent file, it's not a movie itself, it's a file that a BitTorrent client can use to get the movie from other BitTorrent users. (Movies should be gigabytes; torrent files kilobytes.)

Aloha,

Brad
