I crave the spice! These english folk don't do anything spicy!!! I laugh in the face of hot sauces and scoff in the presence of a 'three hot pepper on the menu' jalfrezi on the indian menu.

I can't even buy Tobasco here. Now that's sad.

Last year we made a big batch of Sriracha-style chilli and garlic sauce. It was good but not hot enough.

We're using this year's batch to do two kinds: a coconut/coriander chutney and an explosive tomatillo and habanero salsa. The latter is mirrored after the one used at the Manx which I think I've got nailed down to tomatillos plus some of their juice, cilantro, salt, cumin, cane sugar, some garlic and white onion.
