wow, 2nd page news in less that 10 hours...

No love for Warren anymore? Has there been Warren overkill over the last 5 years?

Either way I can't wait till this finishes downloading. This lineup has got to be stellar:

Warren Haynes (The Allman Brothers Band/Gov't Mule): electric guitar

John Popper (Blues Traveler): harmonica

Noel Redding (The Jimi Hendrix Experience): bass, acoustic guitar

Lincoln Schliefer (Warren Haynes Band): bass

Chuck Leavell (Allmans/Aquarium Rescue Unit): piano

Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic): clavinet, organ

Jaimoe (Allmans): drums

Jerome Brailey (Parliament Funkadelic): drums

Marc Quinones (Allmans): percussion

Yeah this place is sort of fucked if something like this falls off the first page that quick. That looks sicker than dirt. Leavell is listed as Allmans but isn't he more Stones than anything? I mean I know what Allmans tracks he's on but was he not touring with the Stones then I thought he had for ages. Maybe I'm mistaken I really don't know.

I can't believe they have Bernie Worrell too - I mean Spanish Moon with Trey, Warren and Bernie alone is a fucking trip.

Chick Leavall was a member of the Allmans during the seventies. After Duane died, they decided to go with a piano instead of trying to find a second guitarist to replace him. He was with the band for several years full-time. But you're right, he has more recently toured with the Rolling Stones as well.

Yeah he's the shit. Think about the combined talent on that bill (I'm trying not to think about how little love they would get from the music press) - I mean think about it. I love this concept and would love to see something on a similar scale in Canada (we wouldn't let Marc Crissinger anywhere near it).

I love this culture (Jam) and really wish we could do something on a grand scale that would really turn other outsiders heads. I guess the Ambiguously Trey Duo was a good example at Hummingbird although I don't know that it was written up anywhere.
