adambrot Posted September 29, 2006 Report Share Posted September 29, 2006 Geez Dave, that's really frightening.I just moved to Ottawa a couple of months ago from northern Quebec and wasn't locking up diligently at first out of a habit of feeling safe from intruders. I'm on the 3rd (top) floor of a building with a wooden staircase up to the back patio and was originally keeping my case of empties on the patio (to control the fruit flies in the kitchen). When I woke up one morning and they were missing and determined that it wasn't a neighborly gesture of cleaning things up, I got a bit freaked out about strangers wandering around my apartment while I was sleeping.
