Booche
I hope I am wrong but I think this is going to be a boring trade deadline. Most of the big deals are done. You are going to see some filler players move and that is about it, maybe a Bill Guerin or two but not much more. Originally I planned on taking the day off to watch it from home but I can no longer justify it.

Blane
Atlanta got chumped on that Tkachuk deal. 3 picks and a good player? Damn!
Kanada Kev
They're going for broke ... and that's how they may end up next year ... BROKE (with now picks, prospects or promise)Then again, maybe they'll win the CUP! Edited February 26, 2007 by Guest
rubberdinghy
The prices are WAY too high....I think Mucks will stand by his Comrie deal...Probably one of the best deals he's made
dave-O
I'm with Booche. I've already quit faking starting to get sick for tomorrow. Last year was the "busiest" trade deadline in history, but 2/3rds of the deals were for veteran depth defenseman type players.Maybe the most interesting deal will be if Sabres opt to send Biron somewhere for some injury relief. Kanada Kev
Biron for Gerber
dave-O
I think Muckler is still looking for someone like a Roberts to play with Speeza and Heatley. Neither Neil or McAmmond has looked consistently good on the top line.I'd guess they wait it out until the last minute to see if prices come down. Muck has repeated that he won't move a roster player... wait and see...
Booche
Well, it wont be Roberts if the indications are true that he has already been moved. Owen Nolan perhaps?
Kanada Kev
Owen Nolan perhaps? LOL ... Please, I would LOVE to see Nolan in a Sens jersey. Just wait until the next game in Toronto ... the fans might even lay off Alfie for a while :)

rubberdinghy
can anyone tell me what that's good for?I know it's more depth at D, but do you think he'll even dress unless someone gets injured... rubberdinghy
Brent Sopel, to Vancouver for 2 and 4th rounder. They also picked up Smolinski for a conditional 2nd round pick...

dave-O
I know it's more depth at D, but do you think he'll even dress unless someone gets injured...Isn't that the point of "depth at D"? In case someone gets injured??
rubberdinghy
right, but Schubert can always go back to D and they can dress McGratton...Why not pick up a Brent Sopel or something Anyways, not looking forward to seeing Roberts going to Pittsburgh, especially if we are facing them round 1. dave-O
Why all the fuss about a 40 year old with 13 goals?Did you learn nothing from Buffalo's injuries last playoffs? Gotta have guys on the farm that are ready to go.If the Sens do pick up a forward, I'd expect Schubert to bump Corvo from the top 6. But I couldn't see the likes of Sopel knocking anyone out of Ottawa's top 7 D.

dave-O
This Biron situation could get really interesting... gives Buf some cap room to make more deals... and somebody is getting a potential #1 goalie for cheap...
