Kanada Kev
From the Truths And Rumours section of the Globe and Mail.Finally. Do something we have all seen for years. RIGHT ON!!! I can truly be proud of my workplace today if this does unfold. It was unbearable listening to those dusty old farts this year (Cole and Neale, not the Leafs ) Thanks for the update
rubberdinghy
Another issue for Hockey Night is the quality of the Leafs' team. Insiders suggest there's a concern about the limited success the team is likely to achieve in the next several years. Most hockey experts rank the Leafs as the weakest among the six Canadian NHL teams. The probability of the Leafs making the playoffs any time soon is questionable at best. Hockey Night will seek to showcase Canadian teams with a better chance of advancing to the postseason.HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Booche
Well, the thing you have to remember is that in the salary cap era, it is much easier to turn your team around quickly.
Jaimoe
Hughson's improved a lot over the years. I never liked him early in his hockey career but he was/is a good baseball announcer. I like Don Whitman best on the CBC (aside from the departed Cuthbert) and Mark Lee is getting better all the time. Whitman is the CBC's best all-round sports announcer and he terrific with Edmonton and Calgary games. Edited June 23, 2007 by Guest
