Kanada Kev
Like it or not, the rivalry has been dead for years and years. Leafs/Sens is the modern rivalry and that's based on the frequent (until the last 3 years ) matchups in the playoffs.
Booche
Like it or not, the rivalry has been dead for years and years. That's the stupidest thing I have read in this forum in 2008.
SmoothedShredder
Yeah, pretty dumb. Guys like you helped to fund both sides of the War in the 40's. What colour is the sky in your worlds? My guess: Mauve.
Kanada Kev
So, what game do you think will have more intensity in the next few days (for the fans and the players on both sides)?Leafs vs. Canadiensor Leafs vs. Senatorshonestly. In terms of regional rivalries there are wayyyy more fans in this area who respect Montreal and are happy to see them go far. Good luck finding many who will cheer for Ottawa ... even if they were the last "Canadian" franchise in the playoffs. dave-O
I rate this thread worse than both Ollie pledging allegiance to the Pats and this generation of bandwagon Habs fans.
Booche
Like it or not Rahmer, KK would have you believe that the Habs-Leafs rivalry has been dead for years and years.
Kanada Kev
Fine, not "dead" but severely diminished and not even close to Tor/Ott. Damn, i'm trying to work here ... come on man!

Hal Johnson
Ahem - couple rules for this thread:1. No girls allowed. That means all y'alls gotta skate.2. No Sens videos, cuz ill be forced to dig up Leaf clips from the FOUR TIMES we beat the sens in the playoffs. Oh wait, I guess rule number 1 deems rule number two redundant. N'ermind. Kanada Kev
Sens can't trump the Leafs until they WIN a Cup (or at least beat them in a playoff round).Leafs can't trump the Habs until they end the 41 year drought.Habs can trump BOTH.Plain and simple. Hal Johnson
So Kev,Did you know that the Habs boast one of the, if not the most balanced attacks in the league? Something like 7 guys with over 40 points. They've got the youth and the the leadership to make some noise this year.

badams
That's what I'm talking about!!! It's exciting to think about the Habs past and even more exciting to think about the future. There is a lot of promise on this team. I look forward to the next 10 years but for now I am focusing on 2008

Hal Johnson
When I was thirteen and fully immersed in my Hab bandwagon jumping I had a T-Shirt with the front page of the Montreal Gazette on it after they won the cup. The picture was similar to that of above. I was lucky enough to have Ken Dryden sign it, who looked at it and said - "Hey thats a really cool shirt!" Wheres everyone elses habs shirt with a picture of a legend, signed by a legend? Edited March 28, 2008 by Guest Im a doofus
