I've been using a 10' graphite pole with an ultra-light reel, 6lb test. Salmon are just starting to run in the rivers around here now. I was out floating a couple of flies in the Saugeen River tonight. Elbow to elbow though, being the weekend and all when all the city folk come up. A guy caught a 22lb.
