briguy
A long time acquaintance has taken over the property at 33 Hess Street South, in Hamilton’s Hess Village. A lot of people know the building as 33 Hess. The new owner also owns Che Burrito & Lounge across the street. The new venue is appropriately called TouChe. I manage bookings and promotions for the venue so if anyone wants to talk about gigs let me know. The calendar will fill out a bit more as we progress. Hope to see some of you at the shows.ChrsBrianTouche (formerly 33 Hess)Friday November 7Martin Verrall and Black Spring featuring Jack Pedler, Mike Williams, Clint Riceplus special guest Itchy & The Dead Hookers(former members of The Dead Boys and High School Hookers)@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $3Saturday November 8House of David Gang"One of Canada's Top Reggae Collectives!"@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $5http://www.myspace.com/houseofdavidgangFriday November 14Vatican Chainsaw Massacre CD Release Partyw/ Black Ships, Harbour Rats, Rocket Reducers, Wrath of Khan@ Touche - 8:00PM -- 19+ :: $5http://www.myspace.com/vaticanchainsawmassacrehttp://www.myspace.com/blackshipshttp://www.myspace.com/harbourratshttp://www.myspace.com/rocketreducershttp://www.myspace.com/khanwillkillyouSaturday November 15Black Tea, Tazman Blue, + more@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $3http://www.myspace.com/blacktearocksWednesday November 19Midnight Shift (featuring Aaron Goldstein)@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $2Thursday November 20The Steve Elmo Murphy Band@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $4http://www.myspace.com/stevenelmomurphyFriday November 21Brian Griffith, Jesse O’Brien, Joel Guenther, Colin Lapsley, Craig Lapsley, + more@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+Saturday November 22Riddim Riders@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $5http://www.myspace.com/riddimridersThursday November 27George Petko & The Soulshifters@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $2http://www.myspace.com/georgepetkoandthesoulshiftersFriday November 28The Barettas, more bands TBA@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+http://www.myspace.com/thebarettasSaturday November 29Blind Mule, The Dirty Love Band, Square Root of Margaret@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+http://www.myspace.com/blindmulemusichttp://www.myspace.com/thedirtylovebandhttp://www.srom.netThursday December 11The Northwest Division, The Capital Grass and the No Men@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $3http://www.northwestdivision.comhttp://www.capitalgrassandthenomen.comFriday December 12Born to Busk, more TBA@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+ :: $4http://www.myspace.com/borntobuskSaturday December 13Texas Gold, June & July, more TBA@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+http://www.myspace.com/texasgoldrockhttp://www.myspace.com/juneandjulyFriday December 19Ginger St. James Christmas PartyGinger St. James AKA Darlin’ Deanna, plus special guests@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+http://www.myspace.com/gingerstjamesSaturday December 27Boxing Day weekend throwdownFat Cats (two monster sets)and evening with@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+http://www.myspace.com/hamiltonfatcatsSaturday February 7thB.A. Johnston invades Hess Village, with special guest Racoon Wedding, and more@ Touche - 9:00PM -- 19+http://www.myspace.com/bajohnstonhttp://www.myspace.com/theracoonweddingTouche - 33 Hess Street South - Hess Village Edited November 7, 2008 by Guest

Esau.
Nice, god knows the village needs a venue with good live music again, might just persuade all the fun and good folks that used to hang out to come back, instead of the scene it is (or was at least) the last time I visited there.Cheers & good luck Brian. \/\/illy
[color:purple]Just to make sure I understand this correctly; Peter Tosh is actually playing at Touche right? It's not a "celebration of his music" or something? It's actually him?Forgot my purple font. The poster is a bit misleading isn't it? Jay Funk Dawg
It's a Tribute to Peter Tosh-maybe it's hard to see - but it says Tribute right against the H in Tosh. We will however be summoning Tosh's spirit right in the middle of Hess Village!Facebook event link:http://www.facebook.com/wall.php?id=33035460221#/event.php?eid=33035460221
\/\/illy
I see that now. Okay, I stand corrected. It is pretty difficult to see though. Knock 'em dead! I'm sure it'll be an awesome show!
