Large Marge
I'm hurting for cash but need to think of something good to recognize my Mom's 60th B-day. Any stellar ideas out there?

FairySari
You could write her a mushy letter or song or poem... make her a mix cd of mushy mom songs... knit her a hat... bake her a cake... call a radio station and dedicate a song to her... or yeah, i think she might understand if you're a little distracted right now

edger
Get her one of those kits where you can imprint your child's hand/feet, whatever once they are born. Many come with a nice frame. Or at a craft store you can get similar kits that are meant to create garden stones...some come with nifty little gemstones and everything. You could carve in a nice motherly or grandmotherly message...
Kanada Kev
just like other people have said, the gift of a grandchild is the BEST!!! Those kits that edger mentioned are great. Also, what about letting her know that you're going to use her name (or variation of) as part of the grandchild's name (if that makes any sense, or if you would even want to ).Welcome her to her SIXTIES, with SIX TEAS, or SIX TEES (t-shirs, or golf tees ).Some others here:http://www.overthehillgifts.com/60birgifid.htmlhttp://www.cafepress.ca/30405060/1730752 Edited March 10, 2010 by Guest

Large Marge
Welcome her to her SIXTIES, with SIX TEAS, or SIX TEES (t-shirs, or golf tees ). Gay or not, I love this idea! I also think the hand/foot imprint with Grandma messaging will be great. Thanks Kids
