Northern Wish
The first goal has now been credited to Bertuzzi..... Still a natural hat trick over 4.5 minutes ain't bad.
dave-O
Not surprised, I thought it hit Bert's leg.

dave-O
Anybody else following the Chi-Van series? If so, answer this - Is it just me or does Luongo just not look comfortable at all in the net?
Jaimoe
He hasn't looked comfortable since - and during - the Olympics.
PassedOutGuy
I didnt think he looked comfortable in net many times in the Olympics either... hes been fighting the puck the second half of the season regularly...when hes on, hes really on. But an average night can turn ugly for him in a second!
Jaimoe
Van's defensive zone coverage isn't good for his comfortability either.
dave-O
I've been enjoying this series more than the others, but man, Luongo's gotta give his team a chance to win. He's being badly outplayed by Niemi.
Jaimoe
His defense have been soft in front of the net. Chicago can do whatever they want in front of the net.

Kanada Kev
Saw this referenced on a sports blog: Biggest Surprises in the playoffs NHL.Com is running a list of their biggest surprises of the playoffs so far. There have been some good ones for sure. Probably has to be the Habs and Jaroslav Halak's play but I figured I would leave it up to you.The contenders are as follows: 1. Mark Recchi's goal scoring ... they have Satan in this slot, but after last night, Recchasaurus needs to be here. 6 goals already for the 42 year old, and some timely ones! Tying the game with 32 seconds to go last night for one. 2. Halak's play ... what can you say about Jaroslav Halak, he's lifted the Canadiens to a position that they really should not be in. They are on the brink of making the 3rd round and it's pretty much due to Halak's sensational play. 3. Pavelski lifting San Jose ... Another awesome story ... 9 goals through 10 games, an amazing pace for Pavelski and he really lifted the Sharks when the big guys were struggling. He's the reason they have the Red Wings on the ropes, the reason they made it past Colorado. 4. East Upside Down ... Washington, New Jersey and Buffalo all out in the first round, the top 3 seeds, who would have figured it. 5. Home Ice Disadvantage ... Every quarterfinal saw home ice flip to the lower seed after 2 games in the opening round ... both road teams won the Game 7. Boston was the only team to clinch a series on home ice in the first round. 6. The Bruins Score ... The Bruins have found their scoring touch, averaging 3.11 goals per game through the playoffs, vs just 2.32 in the regular season, go Recchi! 7. Injuries Mounting ... Always see some injuries but this years have been pretty prevalent ... Carter, Markov, Krejci, Sturm, Laperriere, Staal ... the list goes on and on. and What will define the 2010 playoffs? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/390171-top-10-stories-that-define-the-2010-stanley-cup-playoffs?utm_source=nhl.com Edited May 10, 2010 by Guest

Guest Low Roller
I have never watched so many Crosby games before. He is such a whiny player. He's up in the grill of the refs almost constantly.
Kanada Kev
Crosby hasn't done himself any favours. However, I don't think he was bad at all until they got a couple of games into this round. He wasn't chirping to the refs in the Wash series like he is now. This is a frustration thing and the Habs are playing him well on this front and getting under his tits constantly. Anytime he opens his mouth on the ice it's going to be deemed crying/whining/complaining, especially when it's a road game The fact that he is captain also means that he has to talk to the officials frequently compared to other players. So, he's gonna keep that label forever it seems Cry baby cry Make your mother sigh She's old enough to know better So cry baby cry
