dave-O
Apparently Nabokov has signed a 6 year deal in the KHL. I know there's no market for goalies, but how is there no market for a guy that's won 40+ games three years in a row?
Guest Low Roller
I'm reading that it's a four year deal. (edit: TSN says it is six, RDS says it is four)At this rate we can look forward to Ray Emery's UFC debut against Kimbo Slice by January.

dave-O
I don't understand that move at all. How quickly they forget that Ville Leino was their best player in the playoffs. And Simon Gagne was pretty great as well.

Guest Low Roller
Fun Fact: The Islanders are paying Alexei Yashin $4.755M this season as per the terms of his buyout. It's the highest salary on the books for the Islanders. Apparently the Islanders rightfully think this is an insane sum to pay someone who is not even on the roster, so they are negotiating with Yashin's agent to bring him back into the fold.
