jaybone
I prefer vinegar and oil based coleslaw over the creamy one. Bdunn makes a mean slaw.
rubberdinghy
I down with that to Jay...St. Hub's is the best straight up Oil and Vinegar and shredded cabbage and carrots...I like to add a touch of sugar...Easy peasy.Also...not sure if you guys have Nando's in your neck of the woods but they've got the best creamy slaw. If only I could figure it out.

fluffhead77
Thanks for the endorsement JB... here's the recipe I use- although I like it a little less sweet so I end up cutting out some of the sugar - down to about 2/3rds of cup. Celery seed is CRUCIAL - don't leave this out. Warning: 1 *large* head of lettuce = a FUCK load of slaw. Roughly about 3-4 litres... so be prepared * 1 large head of cabbage, finely shredded * 1 medium bell pepper, finely chopped * 1 medium sweet onions, finely chopped * 2 carrots, grated * . * Dressing: * 1 cup sugar * 1 teaspoon salt * 2/3 cup vegetable oil * 1 teaspoon dry mustard * 1 teaspoon celery seed * 1 cup cider vinegar
