The STAY OUT OF THE MALL Festival is an annual, two-night event at the eBar in Guelph. Not only do they bring in a gaggle of good bands and give some proceeds to charity, they also really push the idea of buying local/indie music for holiday gifts (hence the title).

I'm pretty sure that stay out of the mall refers to Christmas shopping in general, not music shopping.

Everyone knows that no one actuallly buys music anymore anyways.

Also, there is no good option in Guelph for buying music regardless, the indie shop downtown, The Beat Goes On and HMV are all crap.

Cheapies in Hamilton and Encore Records in Kitchener are the only decent options close to Guelph.
