Ms.Huxtable
The article says he'd like to open a coffee shop in Ottawa and is waiting for investors. He wouldn't be surprised if someone beat him to the punch. Also it sounds like he's just selling the equipment from the converted garage in Mechanicsville.Sounds interesting but can you imagine the lines? pablozappa
The coffee at Happy Goat Coffee is amazing, i have been delaying going there for a while, just went last week. it not a coffeehouse though, it a roastery. The guy is really great and roasts your pound of coffee right there for you. there's nothing like freshly roasted coffee, I'm hooked. he made me a siphon brew and i swear it was the best cup I've ever had. I would suggest that you guys stop talking about it and just go there. He likes having people over and loves making you coffee, call first though 613-612-5771, he wants to make sure he's there when you come. BEST COFFEE IN THE WHOLE REGION! Actually best coffee ever. www.happygoat.ca Pablo

AD
Neat Coffee has been getting lots of positive buzz. It's in Burnstown at the old school house but they do supply runs into Ottawa. I think you can get jars of it at Raw Sugar and other places.http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/250/1569214/restaurant/Ottawa/Ottawa-Outskirts/Neat-Coffee-Shop-McNab-Braesidehttp://www.facebook.com/pages/Neat-Coffee-Shop/51349231478
pablozappa
I agree Neat Coffee is really great, had it a while back, loved it, but hard to get to when you don't have a car. I like my coffee freshly roasted right from the roaster himself, so that's why i go to Happy Goat. Siphon coffee is really amazing as well, I think he's the only one in town doing that? Also the coffee is really great as well!

bradm
Don't some of the Bridgehead shops have vacuum-drawn coffee? Is what they use the same as Happy Goat's siphon?Aloha,Brad
