jaybone
Hi Team!I just found out I'm supposed to make some sort of salsa for a baby-shower on the weekend.I have a solid guacamole recipe, but don't have much of a Mexican repertoire. If anyone can suggest a recipe that I can purchase everything for tomorrow and make by Saturday morning, I would appreciate it. jVids
If you mix a little brown sugar in with lime juice and pour it on it's pretty tastey.

Davey Boy 2.0
^ that's our approach except we like to add some creamy velveeta, julianned bologna, a generous splurt of ketchup and a dolop of warmed miracle whip then toss it all in the blender on high for 8 minutes
fluffhead77
What did you go with?
jaybone
Pretty simple stuff- Grilled salsa.Grilled up tomatoes, garlic, onion, jalapenos, green onions. Put it in the food processor in batches (first the garlic and jalapenos, then pulsed in the tomato). Chopped the onion by hand and mixed it up.Added some fresh lime juice, salt and pepper and a touch of honey.I would have added cilantro, but Erin hates it- so I threw in some parsley to keep it fresh. fluffhead77
I'm starting to hate cilantro a little less every month. I'm conditioning myself little by little. Soon, I will like that vile plant. Yessss, soooooon, mwuuuhahahahahahahahaha! Sounds good, dude - nice flavour profile with the grilled stuff.
jVids
Do you guys think it tastes like soap? That is what Asparagus used to say. I slowly introduced it into meals and now he loves it!I'm a huge cilantro fan.
