bouche
premium? what does that mean? you have to pay extra to get some stuff on sirius?
phishtaper
looks that way.
Hal Johnson
Apparently, you have to pay to get a lot of the sporting events. I was majorly disappointed when I found that out a while back. As for the change, it pisses me off because now I'll have to re-do all my presets. I tells ya, it aint the easiest thing to do while driving. But at least I have some warning this time. I remember when they changed jam-on to Pearl jam radio without telling me - that was a confusing week and a half. And, does Pearl Jam really need a whole channel? phishtaper
took almost 6 minutes to update channels this morning. i lost 6 minutes of jesse james on howard.
bouche
apparently the sirius app (iphone, ipad, bb) is all fudged up today too.
dave-O
XM shuffled its lineup today too, but they don't seem to have merged the Sirius and XM channels at all yet.
phishtaper
dave-O, are you on XM Canada? Im not exactly sure what the deal is, but I think that XM and Sirius in Canada are still different beasts from SiriusXM in the US. We have grey market US subs because originally Sirius Canada didnt carry Howard.
dave-O
Yep, XM Canada. My vehicle came with a free trial subscription that has never expired (knock on wood). The XM-Sirius merger has been approved in Canada, but nothing else has happened as far as I can tell.
tigger
Finally the channels match the description
bouche
Ss far as I know the channels are managed by siriusXM from the US. We should have the same lineup.
phishtaper
that is likely the case, bouche. especially given there are so many canadian channels listed (the US only channel set would likely not have a lot of Canadian channels) but years ago, there were some differences in channels between a US subscription and a Canadian sub. iceberg and howard come to mind. but yeah, it may all be same now. bouche
i didn't notice a difference, though howard 100 didn't move.
