ollie
Daffodils - a poem by by William WordsworthI wandered lonely as a cloudThat floats on high o'er vales and hills,When all at once I saw a crowd,A host, of golden daffodils;Beside the lake, beneath the trees,Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.Continuous as the stars that shineAnd twinkle on the milky way,They stretched in never-ending lineAlong the margin of a bay:Ten thousand saw I at a glance,Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced, but theyOut-did the sparkling leaves in glee;A poet could not be but gay,In such a jocund company!I gazed—and gazed—but little thoughtWhat wealth the show to me had brought:For oft, when on my couch I lieIn vacant or in pensive mood,They flash upon that inward eyeWhich is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills,And dances with the daffodils. phishtaper
[color:purple]ok, thanks for all of your helpful followups, fucktards. i called a greenhouse and was informed that it is quite common this spring. seems we have had a very mild spring which prompted bulbs to sprout. but it hasnt been very sunny in the mornings. so if the bed primarily gets morning sun, they are not shooting up the flowers. blame god, i guess, or ... global warming? Thorgnor
Neither, just chance. No blame. My daffodils were early, and now they've already lost their flowers, but the tulips are giving the whole garden hell! This thread isn't gay, it's metro-sexual.
