U.F. Productions Presents:

Friday, Feb 13, 2004 - The El Mocambo -

Diesel Dog, Uncle Seth & Rose Garland

Show starts at 10PM

DIESEL DOG - 12.45 AM till close

Diesel Dog was born out of the remnants of the 90's jamband Jacob's Ladder. The Ladder began their short career in the early 90's covering music by the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, The Band etc. and by 1997 had their first full length all original release entitled 'Live at the Lighthouse'.

It was not too long after their first release that different directions eventually led to the demise of the band. It seemed that just as things were starting to happen for the boys that everything fell apart. But it didn't take very long for the players to get restless, and fueled by the 'Ulterior Motives' rhythm section the band reformed and came to be known as 'Diesel Dog'.

Today the Dog's lineup consists of Doug Burnside (guitar), Ryan Morrison (keys), Ricky Neu (drums), Ian Richardson (bass), and our newest member J. Jonas Berkeley on saxophone. Vocal duties are shared by Doug and Ryan. They are currently working on their first Diesel Dog release, some of which can be found on the Mp3's page.

ROSE GARLAND 11.15 PM till 12.30am

Rose Garland has been emulating the music of the Grateful Dead in the region for some time now, and have recently been stepping it up a notch. Playing gigs all around Southern Ontario, Rose Garland is gaining momentum. Their on-stage synergy is evident from the quality of sound that they produce. For all of you who love the Dead and for the droves who don?t know it yet, this is a band to see. They will move you.

UNCLE SETH 10PM to 11PM

Uncle Seth is a unique band hailing from Toronto, Canada. The band is dedicated to bringing great songs to life onstage. Their sound, featuring stirring female vocals alongside such unusual instruments as harmonica, melodica and harmonium, makes Uncle Seth stand out as a new voice in modern music.

any suggestions on a reasonable hotel someplace close to downtown toronto?

There's probably stuff closer, but the Bond Place Hotel (just east of the Eatons Centre, about 1.5 or 2 km away from the El Mo) is usually has decent deals for downtown:

Oh, and it's not cheap but everyone I know who's ever stayed there adores the Delta:

There may be better options to the west, but I know the stuff up on Bloor tends to be a little pricey. Hope that helps a bit.

Peace,
