  1. YEEHAW! Andre and lynn are getting hitched on Saturday! 2.5 days left of the single life...

To E-Celebrate, I spent a little while going through a bunch of pics that I've captured of the 2 little lovebirds over the last couple of years.

Feel free to post links of your favourites here and if you have any story or memory related, it'd sure be worth the read.

Congratulations ! See you in Tuxedo!

    ClicKety CliCk!

  2. I do love their "off the street" interviews. Always a perfect cross-section of society.

Canada's great for trying out new things.

Chicken McNugget's happened here FIRST too.

(Can you check that for me sally?)

Swearing on primetime tv started in....CANADA!

That's all I can think of. True or not, I thought of them!

  3. Great question.

As a place to further the things that I love and to discover and use new technologies and tools and to apply them in the world of music that I've always loved, the Skank is all that and so much more to me.

With that, it's also incredible to feel connected with everyone ALL THE TIME, and not just at shows, or on trips out west. I've been out west once, and after meeting someone like weezy there, having the ability to enjoy his wit across the country is a fine example of this place.

    The music is key

Things evolve and people come together

All of this is bound by music and love

We love the music and that makes us dance

The music loves to be heard

The music loves to be danced to

If there is no love, then the dance is over

When there is no dancing, the music stops

You take a seat and wait for the music to begin again

The one who loves doesn't sit down

The one who loves still has the music

The music will always be playing in those that love

  4. So much fun in three days. With people taking in the fun at moe.down, and at CTfest, there was a lot of stinking fun all around.

    Highlights:

    * my cumberland from Caution Jam

    * nero's superlong encore ... LITTLE WING? ouch!

    * any campfire jams that happened

    * having pizza delivered mmmmm.....

    * ditto on blue quarter in the saloon

    * the Erin Smith band was an amazing treat

    Lowlights:

    * the inability to stay fresh and alive until 6 am

    * not discovering the great breakfast until the very last day of the very last CT Fest

  5. I'll let you know, GM, how the Red Rocks sounds this weekend. I'll be listening to it in the car on the way up to CTFest. Thanks Pud. Sorry I didn't have any of these nuggets you speak of. Maybe I can burn you something else [Wink]

The ensemble (pianoless monk?) was really cool experience. I haven't heard a lineup of musicians and instruments like that in a really long time, if at all.

Acoustic Bass, Traps, Alto and tenor sax, and trumpet.

The pulse from the rhythm section was mesmerizing, and in the silence, the entire room could continue to feel it.

Everyone should check them out next round.
