  1. I was reading about it in that interview someone posted here with the creator.

The show originated from a movie, and he said that they tweaked the movie, and added a couple of characters for the series.

I only saw about 15 minutes last night, but I did tape it when it came on again on the dish at 5:30 am.

There was a really funny and very hypocritical interview with the 2 retards that I caught. They were talking about Ricky and saying how he's such an asshole. And Trevor wouldn't admit that he hates him on camera. Cory was saying "come on man, they're not going to see this...you hate him!" Next cut back into that interview, Cory's saying "I'd have more respect for Ricky if he just said I'm an idiot to my face."

It was a nice example of one of the things that the creator enjoys...

"The things we find funny are absurdity, reality; we find swearing very funny, very funny. We find hypocrisy funny."

If you haven't read the interview, it's right here...

  2. I'm doing something wrong. I've been trying to read the Two Towers when I go to bed, but I fall asleep within 3-4 pages. I started reading it back in march...i think I'm half done. Mind you, I haven't picked it up in a couple of months.

  3. wild.

There was this thing on MMM yesterday highlighting various "reunions" in the last few years.

The Doors was one of them, and they were shown with the Creed-tard and Astbury and some other dude standing in for Morrison, minus the shlong waving. I think they did a performance on MTV or VH1.

Anyway, the highlight of this show was teh Van Halen "reunion" at the MTV music awards (or some other crock of shite). I guess Van Halen (sans Roth) came out to present a major award, and Roth decided to step out on stage and have a little reunion. The other Halen dudes weren't very pleased, and Roth just acted like a putz, and stealing the mic from Eddie.

It seems that David Lee had some explainin' to do as well...

  4. More Gary quotes:

MEEUWSEN: You were raised in a Christian home, and then decided, when you grew up, you wanted to go to Hollywood. What motivated you?

Mr. BUSEY: It was even earlier when I was in the first grade, I saw a movie called "Samson and Delilah," the Cecil B. DeMille film, and when it was over, I said to my mother, "Where do all the people go?" And she said, "They go out, and another audience comes in to see the picture show." And I said, "No, not those people, the people up there." She said, "You mean the people in the picture show?" And I said, "Yes." She said, "Well, they go off and they do another picture show, and so we'll come and see it." And I said, "That's what I want to do." And she said, "You want to be in the picture show?" And I said, "No, I want to tell stories with light."

    MEEUWSEN: Wow.

Mr. BUSEY: And light stands for L-I-G-H-T, which stands for Living In God's Heavenly Thoughts.

  5. onions, are usually part of the sandwich. In fact, yesterday....RED! Not diced, just sliced and added as a topping, I didn't put them directly in the yellowish, chunky sludge.

Is Asparagus going to explain his sandwich story. If it starts with "So I walk into Quizno's...." I won't believe it, cause they make GREAT sandwiches.

Oh, so the super secret sandwich is a secret no more. Well, I hope that they are good.

  6. Caution Jam are always great. However, I think now, I find them to be absolutely incredible.

They are so tight, and have soooo much fun on stage. I didn't realize that Mark was such an amazing guitarist.

I can only imagine that the second set was killer. That Truckin>Other One>Truckin in set I was a smashing set of jams.

  7. I think you've got a keeper on your hands.

Maybe you should concoct something to live up to image. I for one would love to watch Stapes drink it [Wink]

As far as sandwiches go, I made an egg salad one yesterday. It was good, but there must be more to egg salad than mashed up boiled eggs and mayonnaise.

Todays sandwich is, as of now, unannounced, but I promise that it will be good.

  8. H, you know that I always had Pizza Hut on the top of the list...(some may shame me), but I've changed my ways.

    BOSTON PIZZA is now #1!

    Order the Tuscan!

However, if I'm in ottawa, and have the option, I'll go to Newport Pizza any day. Thanks Stapes!

  9. Yes dude. I was looking forward to many of those and certainly planning on attending and helping to fill up the room with a bunch of crazy partiers from Ottawa.

What's the likelihood of getting a room together once-in-a-while in guelph?

  10. I'll tell you what I just found weird...

when I did the phish search on TM.com, a popup was launched. Ticketmaster provided a list of online ticketbrokers *cough* scalpers *cough* which included Ticketsnow.com. I can't remember the rest of the links, but I'm keeping my eyes open for that popup.

So, they sell out, and then send you to a place that sells tickets from about 2000-10000% higher.

    Go see current 'prices'
