  2. I really didn't want to post in this, but I just couldn't believe what I read there.

Wow. I can't get over the bullshit being spout out. A community that grew through the internet, via posts and emails is now stirred up with a conflict that isn't getting resolved so much as it's being dragged out, using the internet and emails.

It's obvious that posting is easier than saying anything face to face for most people, and even lying and creating misguided illusions is easily attempted as well.

Now I do believe people know who nero, JSB, GTB, Dr.Hux, and Tala are. In fact they certainly provide for many topics of conversation regularly right here. People know who they are and their words and music is being spread just fine. Unfortunately, I think the key is that noone knows who Nugget is. Well, they didn't, until nugget began attaching itself to the bands' shows that have always been posted right here, as much as possible.

If someone doesn't know who a band is...they can find out by asking. They usually do. Nugget doesn't actually mean 'good music' as much as it means 'bad attitude'.

Marketing 101 or Grassroots 101? Which program offers the 'hard work' and 'dedication' course and which one offers the trash-talking and name-calling one again?

  3. So did it do anything besides try and pass itself on?

On another note....if you are running a windows XP with a 'non-official' key, don't bother trying to install SP1. It won't work.

Right click on My Computer and click on properties....if your key looks like one of these...

    XXXXX-640-2001765-23XXX

    you're pooched...for now.

Also, there is a problem with MSN messenger as well, that you can only fix with the update, as far as I know...

    (from ]www.iexbeta.com)

"A serious flaw has been recently reported by The Register, which allows XP Help Center to wipe all of your hard drive contents, without notice !

Although reported as early as June 25 to Microsoft, it has not been announced publicly yet as a critical flaw, though it qualifies as such. Microsoft rather silently decided to include the fix in SP1.

Because one simple link, using the "hcp://" prefix that refers to Help Center, allows it to delete your stuff, it is to be considered as one of the most critical flaws even encountered in XP, as any link in any webpage, IRC channel or e-mail could do the trick. No wonder MS has silently discarded the problem..."

  4. Weezy...if I had my pilot's license, I'd fly out and get you. But that will have to wait a couple of years. I do have my driver's license.

AD, if you have any friends in TO, you could win and offer them the passes. It wouldn't hurt to get someone else to go see something that great that they otherwise might not be able to go see.

  5. From nero's site (www.neroland.com)...

"It is with mixed feelings that we make the following announcement: A very difficult decision has been made concerning the future of nero as a touring/recording entity. From this point on, Chris Buote (formerly of Downtime) will be taking over as bass player for nero, as we sadly bid farewell to Shane Clark. As this is an issue between long-time friends, we feel that nothing more needs to be said publicly, other than we hope that you will all respect this decision, as we stand on the threshold of what we hope will be a long and exciting time of making music together. All shows will go on as scheduled. Thank you for your support. "
