No more rum and Coke for the Trailer Park Boys Canwest News Service Published: Friday, November 14, 2008 The Trailer Park Boys series is wrapping up after seven seasons, the show's producers announced Thursday. The special finds Ricky, Julian and Bubbles broke once again and pitted against their old foe, the trailer park supervisor. The Trailer Park Boys will appear in one last special, Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys - A Trailer Park Boys Special, to air on Showcase Sunday, Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Fans haven't seen the last of the Boys, however. They'll be back on the big screen next fall in Trailer Park Boys - Countdown To Liquor Day, said series creator Mike Clattenburg. Based on Clattenburg's low-budget debut feature film of the same name, the Trailer Park Boys television series follows the fortunes of misfits living in a trailer park. The show first aired on Showcase in 2001 and became a pop culture phenomenon. The series won Gemini Awards for Best Comedy Series (2004) and Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series (2005). Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, a feature film executive produced by Ivan Reitman, was released in 2006.

VERY well put TB. Extreme sides always seem to utilize black & white (with us or against us, etc.) arguments. For me, it comes down to how to satisfy everyone's 'differences'. In most cases, you simply can't. There's always somebody who is going to feel "left out". So why not be inclusive? I was impressed with the Remembrance Day services in Ottawa just last week. There was a religious "representative" there to lead a prayer. He prefaced it by inviting people to join in and send their thoughts (prayers) to whom the individual believed was their "god" or to those soldiers and families involved. I can't remember the exact words, but it was perfect, IMHO. Instead of dividing people on religious beliefs, it united them in a way that could not offend. There needs to be more of that.
  6. So, you wanna new drug? One that won't make you sick? One that won't crash your car, or make you feel three feet thick?

Where in Canada is this the case Birdy? The Charter's freedom of religion guarantees the right to practice your religion in private (home, mosque church, synagogue, etc.,) but not necessarily in public institutional space (government, school, etc.) So, how is the RIGHT to pray being denied? If that right is being denied to somebody then the laws are there to fix it.
  8. While this guy may not have the chops like others, i still find it amazing how some people are even ABLE to play the guitar: more here

I don't think he was saying that these were all good things: There's a thousand points of light For the homeless man There's a kinder, gentler machine gun hand There's department stores, and toilet paper Styrofoam garbage for the Ozone layer There's a man of the people, says people alive Got fuel to burn, got roads to drive

  17. They introduce that sort of thing and they start making lots o' cash on the advertising space. Do they then offer to give you a discount because you're being forced to see these ads? Nooooooo. Fuck 'em. I hate that shit. I'd like to know what their reply is. Call them up and tell them you want to speak to customer retention because you're now thinking of making the switch to a non-email-advertising ISP. Should save you a few dollars at least.
