I liked this comment: God did in fact say you are like a pickle: "And then Jesus said, God the father and I shall ram our holy pickle-stickers into both ends, and fill you with our mighty juices. And when our holy steam shoots forth, you will glow, and it will be good." Vlasic 4:04

  5. Al, they grow on you too. Once you see 'em live it's even better! A good friend of mine is a huge Stones fan. I told him that he would love these guys. They do have a sound reminiscent of Exile On Main St Rolling Stones, IMHO. He's now hooked too.
  6. I can't wait to see the DBTruckers again! I hope this comes to fruition. Now I have to catch up with the times and checkout some THS.

  11. Oh man! Somebody did that at my office a few years ago too. Unbelievable. You NEVER ask a woman if she is pregnant ... period! Wait for the information to be offered, or for somebody else to take the risk. Just yesterday a buddy of mine here commented to a coworker (who is 8 months preggo) that she "looked sooooo pregnant". Now, it was good that she was in a jovial mood. It could very easily have gone hormonal and gotten downright nasty

yup, the "plans" are if you include a txt bundle. So, if you don't pay a flat-fee for txt msgs then you're being pressured into getting one (which increases your bill). They say they are offering that as an "option" ... pffft ... fuckers. My bill should be going DOWN. What is this PC Phone you are talking about?
  14. Donna the Buffalo are a blast! Great dancin' rhythms and good times. They 'headline' The Great Blue Heron Festival every year in Sherman, NY (great festival by the way ... very small and a cool site).

http://www.google.ca/search?q=bell+telus+text+messages&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Two of Canada’s leading cell phone carriers, Bell and Telus, will soon charge their customers for incoming text messages, beginning on August 8 and August 24, respectively.

How about them starting to charge for INCOMING txt messages? (just like the Bell bastards). Seriously, to piss somebody off you could send hundreds of txt msgs to them and they will have to pay for it!! I called to complain. Asked them to turn off txt messaging on my account. They said they couldn't!? Bullshit, they can turn off web browsing, call display, message centre, call forwarding, conference call, etc. etc. etc. but NOT txt messaging??? ASSHOLES! I'll be calling in to dispute charges a lot once August starts i think
  19. Yup, there are some good ones in there. This one confused me though: "Looks like the US Dollar has sunk so low in value these days, only Canadian dollars are good enough to snort coke with." [color:purple]How the hell does Steve Page snort with a Canadian dollar?
  20. "Come on in" to cops tosses a ton of your rights right out the window. You can say "no" and they would then have to go and retrieve a warrant. At 2am that could have taken some time and Stephen could have finished off his rails by then
  21. check out the review links in the original post. They are all really positive and are from people who went into the show very cautiously figuring that it couldn't be pulled off without Paul. For $30 I think it's worth a shot.
  22. Just found out that 2/3 of The Jam are touring and will be coming to Toronto in October: WWW.ATGCONCERTS.COM FROM THE JAM LEGAL AGE 19/NO SMOKING OPERA HOUSE 735 QUEEN STREET EAST WED OCT 1 2008 DRS 8:00PM It's minus Paul Weller, but after reading a bunch of reviews it sounds like they put on one helluva show!!! For $30 I think I'm willing to give it a shot and it's sure to sell out in Toronto. Tix on sale tomorrow.
