  1. Booche, Sorry, I wrote that kinda late, kinda drunk, kinda pissed off. I knew it wouldn't come out quite right Here's what I meant to say (even though these words were written by somebody else: So will the Leaf Jekyll or Leaf Hyde show up for the game on Tuesday?!?! I'll be seeing Neil Young and won't even CARE what's going on, but will be eager to see the highlights afterwards. I hope it's a good game at least. Cheers.
  2. Yeah, i heard. Bummer. Can't believe TicketBastard is STILL selling tix for the show. Looks like a resched to February. They had better honour my tickets at that show! (don't want to give up front row centre ). Next 2 nights of Neil will EASILY take my mind of it all
  3. I just listened to the 11-17-07 show yesterday and am fucking STOKED for these shows. Anyone up for some preshow brews, etc? I'm heading over to the Library Pub to get primed.
  4. Brilliant business. I still don't see why the Ontario Teachers Pension Fund is often cited for the state of the team. If anything, they have provided everything in need to make a winner. I have yet to hear of a deal that has gone sour because they have vetoed it or were not willing to cough up the cash. If there is anyone to blame, it's the management. JFJ is a complete fuckup. The management team should have fired him ages ago. Blame the OTPF for not using their muscle to get rid of him faster, or the management team. Peddie needs to initiate the changes before they are forced upon him. HE is the one who looks like the greedy bastard.
  5. I skimmed through this one quickly on the PVR. Possibly the WORST game i've ever seen in the NHL. Blow it up real good.
  6. Wooohooo ... Leafs D is the [color:purple]BEST For a decent game again for the first 2 periods, only to blow it in the third. Great giveaway Kaberle
  7. May still have a chance, but closer to the show and a last-minute kinda thing. Gonna be a great evening. http://www.turnitonagain.com/ http://www.turnitonagain.com/video/Cage1.wmv
  8. Please do. I got around to watching the film earlier this week. Darlene and I LOVED it. Man, does it draw you in or what? Great music. I think the expression on the sound engineer's face when they are in the studio scene in the movie captures how I looked when the music first started in the film. Real ear and eye opening stuff. The main characters' on-screen chemistry was priceless too. Would liked to have seen that concert. Any recordings out there from their tour???
  9. Almost had a couple of free tix for it via the QClub (Q107) but they got swapped up while i was trying to get the Springsteen tix at 10am as well . I already have my tix (front row centre) for it, but wanted a couple of more to encourage guys like you to come along Gonna be a fun night.

  11. Right on ... still have a few months to figure it all out. In the meantime, are we gonna get you out to Turn It On Again on Dec 8th at the Danforth Music Hall? We're organizing a preshow party at the Black Swan before.
  12. Let's rock. Gonna be a great show and I'm totally expecting Copps to have super HIGH energy for the Boss. Lots of time to plan, but do you have any ideas on a possible venue for some preshow drinks, food, etc? Anyone else thinking about Buffalo Boss too?
  13. How soon will the day come when they make it so that the Stanley Cup Final is a PPV event for EVERYONE?! Please don't turn the NHL into the WWE (or whatever 3 letters it's called these days). PPV is a cash grab for the owners plain and simple. I remember reading an article last year comparing all Canadian NHL teams and how much a die-hard fan would have to shell out for the privilege of seeing all their games on TV. IIRC, Vancouver was the most expensive of all of them. Blackouts, locally, used to be used to drum up day-of sales for sporting events. Do any other leagues still use this these days? That was more for football and tickets were cheap. I refuse to pay anything extra to see hockey (other than the basic sports channel add-ons ... TSN, SPortsnet, etc.) And to pay full price to see a regular season game? Screw it, i'd rather spend that kind of money on a bunch of concerts.
  14. I guess. But some people here were still watching Romper Room when it was on and may not know. Maybe it's just me, but I hate it when the ending gets spoiled. Quantum Leap: Saddest last moment of a series ever SPOILER
  15. [color:purple]I've never seen The Sixth Sense ... can you spoil it for me?
  16. I sure can hear them!!! The Roughrider marching band was playing in the atrium at the CBC this morning and now the street party on Front is in full gear. The band is blasting some kickass Shania Twain (Man I feel Like A Woman) right now They did just play "The Way You Do The Things You Do" so they get a little credit. Time to go outside and hang around with some cowboy hat people
  17. Just nailed my FLOORS for HAMILTON SWEEEET btw ... the floors at the ACC we had tons of space. I enjoyed from directly in front of the soundboard ... great sightline and SOUND! If a GA floor is crowded from front to back in an arena then they have oversold, or there's no security
  18. What gets "lighter" in a "lightening storm"? You wanna talk about a sickfuck? This chick is a sickfuck ... who did dress up like a Catholic Schoolgirl ... must've been Satan's work again:

  20. 'Cause Mama ... that's where the fun is!!! Love that tune too. Both versions. Have you seen Springsteen's "Storytellers"? He runs through the whole song and explains the lyrics. He also touches on how Manfred Man's pronounciation of "duece" and makes a good joke of it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blinded_by_the_Light Could you imagine Weir trying to remember THESE lyrics? : Madman drummers bummers and Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin' kinda older, I tripped the merry-go-round With this very unpleasing sneezing and wheezing, the calliope crashed to the ground Some all-hot half-shot was headin' for the hot spot, snappin' his fingers, clappin' his hands And some fleshpot mascot was tied into a lover's knot with a whatnot in her hand And now young Scott with a slingshot finally found a tender spot and throws his lover in the sand And some bloodshot forget-me-not whispers, "Daddy's within earshot, save the buckshot, turn up the band" And she was blinded by the light Cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night Blinded by the light She got down but she never got tight, but she'll make it alright Some brimstone baritone anti-cyclone rolling stone preacher from the East He says, "Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in its funny bone, that's where they expect it least" And some new-mown chaperone was standin' in the corner all alone, watchin' the young girls dance And some fresh-sown moonstone was messin' with his frozen zone to remind him of the feeling of romance Yeah, he was blinded by the light Cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night Blinded by the light He got down but he never got tight, but he's gonna make it tonight Some silicone sister with her manager's mister told me I got what it takes She said, "I'll turn you on, sonny, to something strong if you play that song with the funky break" And Go-Cart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart to see if it was safe to go outside And little Early-Pearly came by in her curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride Oh, some hazard from Harvard was skunked on beer, playin' backyard bombardier Yes, and Scotland Yard was trying hard, they sent some dude with a calling card, he said, "Do what you like, but don't do it here" Well, I jumped up, turned around, spit in the air, fell on the ground and asked him which was the way back home He said, "Take a right at the light, keep goin' straight until night, and then, boy, you're on your own" And now in Zanzibar, a shootin' star was ridin' in a side car, hummin' a lunar tune Yes, and the avatar said, "Blow the bar but first remove the cookie jar, we're gonna teach those boys to laugh too soon" And some kidnapped handicap was complainin' that he caught the clap from some mousetrap he bought last night Well, I unsnapped his skull cap and between his ears I saw a gap but figured he'd be all right He was just blinded by the light Cut loose like a deuce, another runner in the night Blinded by the light Mama always told me not to look into the sights of the sun Oh, but Mama, that's where the fun is I was blinded I was blinded I was blinded
  21. Exactly! But that would promote independent thought and decision making = EVIL! btw - where was the sexiness in your last post? It was lacking your usual innuendos
