  1. I heard second hand about a friend (can't remember who...Probably someone on this board) taking a wrong turn looking for the bathroom at the Fiddler's Green in Cambridge and walking in on the Killer Dwarves doing blow in the control room. Does this count?
  2. This is sad news. My thoughts are with you all.
  3. String Cheese caught my ears in the late 90s but eventually I got bored of them and moved onto traditional bluegrass (which I think is what I originally liked about their music...Kang used to switch off between his fiddle and mandolin a couple times a song even). I think at the end of the day the point of this thread.....drumroll please...... Bobby Kicks ass! Some of us have always known it some are catching up. Seriously though, Ratdog has come a long way in the last 10 years (1996/97 were kinda rough but Bobby had never gone out on his own like that before Jerry died).
  4. It's sad but I don't think Bobby would do a co-headlining gig with them unless he needed to sell more tickets or play a bigger venue.
  5. There may actually be a very special one time only appearance by Schwa as well.
  6. I was just wondering who was planning on making the trek to KW on Friday night for the benefit show? Should be a good night out for a good cause with Harvard Mouse, a Caution Jam/Burt Neilson combo & High Plains Drifter closing things out. Who's in?
  7. Only one so far. There was a camera against the left wall' date=' and another one on the stage. [/quote'] When we watched this the other night I thought that it would be cool if someone could put all the video together with the audio. I'm actually kinda surprised that the band didn't record it themselves as an official DVD release. It would make a heady stocking stuffer.
  8. I was extremely bummed out that I couldn't make this show because of a funeral and I cannot thank you enough for doing such a great job recording this special night. Kudos to everyone involved!
  9. I used to really be into the Slip like 8 years ago but now they seem way too mainstream. It's like everyone has jumped on the bandwagon like they were the newest fad.
  10. www.jambands.com has picked up on the nero shows in January and has it in their daily news. I apologize for those of you that thought this was a Slip thread: As we previously reported, Canada’s nero will regroup for two shows in mid-January. The details have changed slightly, as the performances will now take place on January 12 and 13 at Mavericks in Ottawa, ON. The members of the group will serve as their own opening acts as guitarist Dave Lauzon will step up on the 12th and drummer Jay McConnery will appear with his current trio, Elbeejay, on the 13th. The former Jambands.com New Groove of the Month last performed on December 31, 2004.
  11. D-Rawk, you Rock! Thanks for the article about rocks.
  12. Now that floats my boat (not literally, it's too heavy....and I have no boat).
  13. If anyone is looking for it I got The Conch off of Oink last night.
  14. Hey Brad, You should take your taping gear.
  15. Probably Sleeper-holds would do it.
  16. Bret Hart is the greatest Canadian who ever lived.
  17. Happy Birthday sis'! I think I have a picture of your 1st birthday party I can post somewhere....there it is. Wait a minute.....that's not chocolate birthday cake on your face! Ewwwwwwwww!
  18. Nice! Always a good time to be had at the Lanc. Should be awesome.
  19. Maybe I'm looking too deep into this comment but it seems like maybe loco has screwed someone over so bad that they won't forgive him. Depending on what you did it may be easy for you to expect to be forgiven, but not so easy for the person(s) you hurt to give you another chance (thus making themself vulnerable to further hurt). You can't just expect to be forgiven depending on the seriousness of the damage you've done.
