    Tom Petty @ ACC

I just scored Centre Floor Row 10 through Tom Petty's Highway Companion Club pre sale. I'm going to hold off on wheter or not to also go to Darien Lake PAC until more of the summer lineup is announced. BTW what a great marketing idea Tom Petty and his management had to have their North American Tour go on sale the day after they perform the half time show at the Superbowl. Peace, Tim
  2. Not as of yet, though when I do find out I will post a thread here. As Ringo Starr would say, Peace and Love, Tim
  3. What he said. I personally look forward to June where I will be seeing Sir Paul McCartney in Liverpool and then later in the month I will get to check Ringo Starr open yet another tour in Southern Ontario. Peace and Love, Tim

I never miss Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers so I'll see you all there. Also I'm looking forward to seeing Steve Winwood opening up for the Heartbreakers. I will again be seeing Winwood with Eric Clapton at Madison Square Gardens in February and it will be great to see him again solo later in the year. Peace, Tim
  5. Congratulations, I saw the Trews open for the Rolling Stones at the Phoenix in 2005 and I enjoyed their set. Peace, Tim
  6. Undoubtedly' date=' it will also be a "masterpiece" ... who the hell wrote those inflated blurbs? [/quote'] Inflated blurbs? When was the last time you listened to 'Flaming Pie?' Tim
  7. That's right. MarcO, you know me so well. Tim
  8. I wish I could have been in at this gig. I have only seen them once before at bonnaroo. Tim
  9. Sir Paul McCartney's son James played the electric guitar solo on the Paul track "Heaven on a Sunday" from the 1997 masterpiece 'Flaming Pie.' I remember reading in a recent billboard interview that Paul said he was again going to work with James for his next effort. Peace, Tim

  11. I just got my free ticket to see Santana at Rama! I'm so glad that my dad and step-mom love to gamble:) Tim
  12. Yes and even if you didn't how could you not recognize Jim's voice? I've seen the film three times in theatres in Toronto so I guess that means I love it. Tim
  13. for Tea? Yes and hopefully some croquet Tim English Tea by Paul McCartney Would you care to sit with me For a cup of English tea Very twee, very me Any sunny morning What a pleasure it would be Chatting so delightfully Nanny bakes fairy cakes Every Sunday morning Miles of miles of English garden, stretching past the willow tree Lines of hollyhocks and roses, listen most attentively Do you know the game croquet Peradventure we might play Very gay, hip hooray Any sunny morning Miles of miles of English garden, stretching past the willow tree Lines of hollyhocks and roses, listen most attentively As a rule the church bells chime When it's almost supper time Nanny bakes fairy cakes On a Sunday morning
  14. I really hope those dates aren't accurate as I hope to be in Liverpool seeing Sir Paul McCartney in late May, early June, which would cause me to miss the Radiohead Toronto dates. Tim
  15. In such an open air venue as BMO Field the sound is always at risk of being blown away if it is at all windy. The Genesis show on September 7, 2007 at BMO Field was an overcast and windy day, though where my seats were situated on the seats but close to the stacks, the sound was good. I have no idea what the audience were hearing at the opposite end of the stadium where the sound had to travel the the farthest. I could see there being a problem at BMO Field on a windy day as it is a more open field than most baseball or football stadiums. Peace, Tim
  16. Hahaha. Same with Myxomatosis. I love watching that little fucker 'dance' Me too. Tim
  17. My bad, I should have said nearly as wide as they are deep. They are definitely a lot more wide than a North American football field. Peace, Tim
  18. Soccer fields, or football fields for all of you people living in the rest of the world, are as wide as they are deep. I was at the Genesis BMO Field show and it definitely looked like 25,000 people were in there. The Molson Amphitheatre capacity is 16,000 and The Air Canada Capacity is likely under 20,000 unless the promoter sets up rear stage seating. Peace, Tim
  19. It will depend on which leg of the tour they will put Toronto into? Personally I hope it's not a small venue tour as last time. I was lucky enough to get tickets for both Hummingbird Centre gigs, but the first show was a tough one for me and I would rather them play a venue that will fit most of their fans. First leg it will likely be the Air Canada Centre, second leg it will likely be the Molson Amphitheatre, though I agree that they could fill BMO Field. Peace, Tim
  20. Personally I would rather not see anyone at the Casino as the sets are nearly always cut short by the Casino promoters to put peoples asses back at the tables. But if someone I love is playing there I often end up seeing them play a shorter set than usual. I haven't seen Santana since the Supernatural Tour as I wasn't a big fan of that album or that tour compared to when I had saw him last. Much time has past since then and I could see myself seeing Santana again, Casino venue or not. Peace, Tim
  21. From www.billboard.com Radiohead North American Tour Takes Shape Radiohead January 09, 2008, 11:15 AM ET Jonathan Cohen, N.Y. There's no dates or venues yet, but Radiohead has confirmed the cities for its North American summer tour. The first leg will come prior to the band's summer European jaunt, which begins June 6 in Dublin, while the second leg will start after the European dates end July 8 in Berlin. Radiohead last toured in 2006, when it debuted a host of the material that eventually appeared on "In Rainbows." As reported earlier, that album overtook the No. 1 spot this week on The Billboard 200, after debuting prematurely last week due to street date violations. Here are the cities for the Radiohead tour: Atlanta Boston Charlotte, N.C. Chicago Cleveland Dallas Houston Indianapolis Los Angeles Miami Montreal New York Philadelphia San Diego San Francisco Santa Barbara, Calif. Seattle St. Louis Tampa, Fla. Toronto Vancouver Washington, D.C. I am looking forward to the dates for these shows. Peace, Tim
  22. Happy New Year! Thanks to Sara and Steve for hosting a fantastic party last night, I had a great time. Peace and Love, Tim
  23. Been busy and sick the past couple of days so I have yet to lisen to the album on a turntable yet. I'll do it in the next couple of days. Tim
