  1. In all honesty I literally signed up by accident by trying to get access to a Holy Fuck blog. Then all of a sudden this Tom guy was my friend. People have been saying I need one for my work for a while and I tend to agree. It seems a lot of bands check their myspace's more often than their emails. I was psyched that I had like 27 friends then my buddy Livestock told me that our mutual friend Noah23 has like 1500. Hell no. I wouldn't mind meeting some filly's on there but not if it turns out like Rider's date. Can you just imagine the kung version of that date, some twiggy kindling indy rock boy approaches the table and threatens me with a libel suit or something.
  2. Obviously the people doing the packaging were Ann Coulter's buddies like the dude who makes the Deadhead candles and listens to Rush Limbaugh.
  3. That's the 'what a foolish thing I've done' song.
  4. Meeting young emo boys was one of my main motivations.
  5. On the album topic I listened to it again and it is really really fine. It will appeal to people with a traditional bent although it covers some ground ranging from Crazy Strings to well shy of Bela Fleck. Steve Dawson did produce it and plays on most of the tracks, Zubot's on one as is multi-instrumentalist Dan Whitely. There's one really great song Waltz for GG that's just sublimely beautiful but the best is likely... wait for it... Andre The Giant. Also the last track is Andre Returns. The song titles really help link the thing together a bit as it's a fairly traditional instrumental album although it goes to some fun places. I would think KevO and a lot of people here will want to pick it up.
  6. Okay I accepted you all as friends. Now I need MORE friends. Feed me Seymour.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if he's strayed from the church fold and succumbed to the temptations of the touring lifestyle. Warming by the devíl's fire and all that.
  8. Yeah the baby crowning is pretty loopy. At least they were historically accurate with a proud aryan bush on the girl.
  9. There's no doubt about that. The album is a pretty damning indictment of whoever was the love of her life with lyrics ranging from regret: "what a foolish thing I've done to lose the only one". To acceptance: "Me and my friend we are not friendly anymore"". To realization : "It was the wrong guy". To anger: "Don't wanna be liked by you." The first six songs if I recall from the one-sheeter though are about her family, presumably her children. Although if you didn't know this fact you'd understandably think it was still the dialogue with the ex.

"I met her at a Living Earth show... pins and needles up and down my spine... SHE FUCKS ME"
  11. Sendspacing is in the autistic category. Spacesending is more on the savant side.
  12. I forgot it's on 3 Parts. I guess cause I've been listening to the Kev's Cuts version lately.
  13. It looked like from the last band photo I saw they lost their second last original member (Beau Stockton sic?) making only Dave Azzolini and wife Jessica Grassi original members. They really were something else with the Everything In 3 Parts lineup. Although Bastards is a badass song and what lineup is that on?
  14. Yeah sendspace like I know how to do much other than email on a computer. AND I studied new media, I'm like a fucking autistic savant.
  15. Dude! Cosmic Steve's a narc?
  16. I'm going to turn into a bigger myspace friend junky then every other sort of junky I've been over the years. Yeah I figure I have to bang up the old myspace if I'm going to have one. It's all greek to me I can barely work the add friends function. My friend Ferenc (Green Go) is a little animation wizard so I figure he'll help me spruce it up. If anyone knows Bubba the GM from Guelph's Albion check out his link off my page. He has this slide show of him and the many faces of Bubba, like human smuggler, child molester, walmart model that's priceless.
  17. Thanks guys. For the longest time it was just Tom and Carly and I'm not really into Dashboard Confessional or any of Carly's music either. I'm glad you had it in your hearts to except a latino/hispanic Leo with a bad moon rising that's only 2" tall.
  18. Oh and I find Julie Fader really hot though I try not to look at her that way cause Graham from holy fuck's her main squeeze and a boss guy.
  19. As with seemingly everything around here there's on obscure Slip connection. Friedman said he's buddies (went to Berklee) with I thought he said Sarah Harmer's husband who he thought was also his guitar player. I was thinking of Joey who I believe is Jenny Whitely's husband, they live in like Elven, Ontario or something in the near North.
  20. They opened up a tent city on one of the local golf courses! A) That sounds particularly unique must have been a fucked scene Must have been a wicked party afterwards.
  21. So I forgot I accidentally set up a myspace trying to sign up for a Holy Fuck blog once. I later added a pic from Cully/Marge's post-Trey weekend debauch. Now I added a couple of friends but need more. Make me your myspace friend! myspace.com/lukebowden
  22. Anybody know Joey Wright, Sarah Harmer's guitarist. Not sure what I think of this album yet but some of you might like it.
  23. Just listened through to a new album by a presumably Vancouver gig, play Wednesdays or did at the Railway Club, called 21 Tandem Repeats. Can't remember the album title. Their bio hype is a bit overinflated, next Rheos, but they're definitely drinking from the same well. Just wondering if west coasters know of them.
  24. Julie Doiron's new album with members of Eric's Trip is unbelievably good. This si th esort of record Feist would make if she still had a first name. It's pretty gloomy I guess but just a stunning document of life out on the emotional ledge. I'm not sure if it's out yet but soon. Pick it up if you're a remote fan.
