Firmware? what's that? I am using XP, but, it's not a friendly version. I'm wondering if something screwed up when I attempted a SP2 Install, again, not a friendly version. I know that you need SP2 for the USB issue, I thought I had it fixed but it's still not.

while we're on the subject.... I can't get my USB 2.0 to work...just reg straight up USB. Maybe it's time to go out and purchase Windows XP. if you know what I mean.

no....I checked some stuff out re: aspi drivers or something...I got it all at 4.60 but would it make a difference at 4.71? any1 know what I'm talking about...cuz i'm not

My DVD writer won't burn or even acknowledge there is a CD in...It's relatively new and it used to work...the computer recognizes it in the BIOS and Device Manager. I searched google high and low, tried updating drivers, everything I could think of..... Ideas?
