You could easily do some of the work yourself. Alternators on most cars are easy to switch out. Exhaust work is a bit tricky, depending on the complexity of the system, and the fact that you have to get under the car to do it, the hardest part is actually removing the old one. If there are just a few holes in the system, they are easily patched, (I had a frugal shop teacher) especially on an older car if you want to actually get a few more months out of it.

Steph and I have acquired a stackable washer dryer. We have to pick it up tomorrow (Fri Sep 21). What time, still yet to be determined. The catch is, we need a vehicle to move it. So...Anyone available tomorrow with a van/truck, car-trailer want to help we'll make it worth your while. The other catch is, we will not know when we can move it until we receive a phone call, and at the time the call is made, it must be moved, within a reasonable amount of time. OR If we cannot get a vehicle to move it, I'd like to move it within walking distance to a backyard in the centretown. (Arlington/Lyon/Kent, perhaps with a hand cart, and a willing partner) and store it there until Northern Wish can move it for me in his rental Jeep ;) Thanks team.
