  1. I think he fronts a Derek and the Dominos cover band.
  2. Obligatory post about how "Axl Rose with a bunch of random other dudes isn't Guns 'n Roses".
  3. As far as I am concerned, any media report that draws comparisons between the current global situation and the events leading up to and during World War II - whether it takes a pro-Bush or anti-war stance - is a complete waste of time. Earl was much more useful when he was lambasting Damon Allen and old-school Ottawa Rough Riders on the sports page. Also, it's great to see Canada - a nation that has long been caught up in "don't call us American" paranoia - now seems to be openly embracing the rhetoric of polarization that has plagued political progress in the United States for so long.
  4. Bah' date=' a couple of arseholes I know want to get together and jam. Thanks AD, I better be on the ball in November I guess, I am assuming a Habs game would sell pretty good?[/quote'] They sell decently, but not as vigourously as they did a few years back. Montreal and Toronto games used to be the first ones to sell out, and would sell out every game, but that isn't so much the case anymore. Even if you're not on it right away you'll still be able to snag something relatively cheap.
  5. I'm sure that many around these parts have known this for a while, but here's what's on it: 1.Daisy 2.Turnaround 3.Mobilized 4.Immoblizied 5.RoadRage 6.Onward Through The Fog 7.Exploration 8.Weight of the World 9.Facless 10.2012 11.Evacuation/hidden jam I was hoping the reworked "Bumps in the Road" would get the full studio treatment, but no such luck. Either way, there are some solid cuts on there - I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a copy.
  6. I'll bet your neice(s) and nephew(s) don't have their very own used Gov't Mule ticket stubs yet....
  7. Phil and Friends featuring John Scofield 12/04/2005 Albany NY Set 1: Just Another Whistle Stop > Loose Lucy, Friend of The Devil > Big River, Two Souls In Communion > Birdsong > Cold Rain & Snow Set 2: U.S. Blues, Sitting On Top of the World, The Wheel > Eyes of the World > I Know You Rider, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away > All Along The Watchtower > Midnight Hour, E: Not Fade Away Lineup: Phil Lesh, Chris Robinson, John Scofield, John Molo, Mookie Seigel, Barry Sless
  8. Burlington is such a great city, and the Memorial Aud is one of my favourite venues there, simply by virtue of the fact that it's really easy to move around in, and it's normally very intimate. I saw Trey there in '03 and when I walked in I could not believe I was about to see Big Red in what amounted to a high school gym (also met Fishman that night). Glad to hear that those who were there enjoyed the show so much, here's to more Panic in the NE US.
  9. Meh, personally I like to trip when Dr. Phil is on.
  10. These guys are rad. I might have to make the trek to the mainland for this one - haven't seen them since post-SCI in Oz two-and-a-half years ago.
  11. Damn, that's some scary stuff. Thanks for the link.
  12. I remember seeing his band when I was living in Halifax a couple of years ago. After the set, he and I were standing next to each other at the bar, and before I walked away I just said "Hey man, I love it." He knew what I was talking about (obviously), and I didn't want to be another drunk asshole with the "Let's go...smokes" routine, which I figured he got all the freakin' time.
  13. Stevie Wonder's Driver's License Ancient Lady and the Dusty Fun Bags
  14. "And the efficiency of the rocket launcher team was also very impaired." Awesome on so many levels.
