  1. James Taylor - Sweet Baby James
  2. The thing is, SCI hasn't announced anything. This is all just based on rumours and has been hyped up on message boards (such as this one). Unfortunately, none of this significant bands in this scene have the luxury of quietly not booking some dates. If a band like SCI or moe. were to try and quietly not book a perennial tour or festival, people would make a huge deal about it (and attach the "hiatus" label), because so many people spend so much time online discussing every little tidbit that comes out about a band, whether true or not.
  3. Bummer if it's true. I checked the PT SCI page and there didn't appear to be any threads over there about it, which would be surprising if they are splitting up.
  4. So this would be, what, a Hammie award? Congrats, Shain.
  5. Gordon Lightfoot - Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
  6. Did anyone else just assume this was a thread about Phish?
  7. Just noticed the birthday cake next to your name. Happy birthday man!
  8. Werewolves of London is always a good bet.
  9. So I've just started my first year of law at UVic (can't get anyone out of posession charges yet, sorry) and I have a midterm Friday in a class called "Law, Legislation and Policy." From what we've done so far, the class might as well be called "Correct Comma Placement, 101," as it has largely focused on how certain statutes are left open to interpretation and misappropriation based on tricky or vague wording and punctuation. Brad, my friend, you would be in grammar geek heaven. End blog.
  10. Usually between ten and eleven during the week (I am to make eleven the latest). I've been going to bed much earlier since I started living without a TV, and I'm really enjoying the extra sleep.
  11. Happy belated, Myrna! Hope to cross paths with you someday.
  12. "Letters from a Porcupine." I found a VHS copy a few years ago - completely by fluke - on the floor of a used record shop in Moncton. Great video, for sure, though sad to see all that footage of the late Shannon Hoon shot so shortly before he died.
  13. From Billboard.com At first the thought of this really pissed me off, but after reading the article, it seems less of a "greatest hits with a Shannon Hoon replacement" kind of thing and more of the remaining members wanting to play together again. Blind Melon was excellent instrumentally (meaning it was more than just The Shannon Hoon show), so why deny these guys the right to continue something that was cut short? Thoughts?
  14. That's rad. It's really cool that you got a chance to meet them out of context and could have a chilled out interaction. DId JB order a JB? No? Lame joke? Thought so.
  15. That Two Step was unreal, although it was definitely at the Molson Centre in Montreal and not the ACC.
  16. This is rad. Thanks a million times over for doing this for us, Esau/Bama/Greg/DVD Overlord.
