  1. With the MTVication of our attention spans, I've learned it doesn't take much to put people in a coma around here. I'm guilty of it now more than ever. Well in my two years around this place.
  2. It's nice to see the CBC caring about the Senators for once.
  3. I'm fackin' pumped. It'll be nice to get drunk early on the weekends.
  4. Happy B-day! Looks like the weather is co-operating!
  5. Word up! I'd love to see a Venn diagram of this logic! What is it that we are all talking about? It seems very racist. Not hateful, except for a little self-loathing, but confusing none-the-less. I'm going to fire up Visio and see if I can get my head around this!
  6. That kind of attitude is what kills the Leafs. Sens don't need it. I'm hoping for GWAR type enthusiasim from the fans in Ottawa. All in... like Black Sheep.
  7. I can remember being seven years old Having goldfish that circuled around in a bowl I would watch the forest burn and listen to the wind blow I remember the table, the drapes, and the window The dark brown everything: decoration, styling Most of all, I can remember my mother smiling Worn out and faded, my hometown was scrappy More than anything she wanted us to be happy Little to eat and back and forth to the hospital She was right, it's better to be happy if possible But the old man was under attack and was weak And continued to beat us several times a week He lived like a king even though we were piss poor I tried to be strong and careful what I wished for My outside ached, my inside stung The long leather belt had replaced his tongue Not knowing how to run or how to hit the brakes A white picket fence was built around a pit of snakes Both a wonder and frightening, the thunder and the lightning These were the sounds and sights of a thousand fights My mother, the poor fish, staging eternal Charades and parades, for the raging inferno Wanting to be happy, beaten all the while Asking me always: "Why don't you ever smile?" And she'd show me how to do it, mother and wife It was the saddest smile I ever saw in my life It hurt worse than death but for her sake I tried And one day all of those goldfish died Hurricane, forest fire, out of control Eyes open, floating on the water in the bowl And when my father came home, he walked through the door And threw those fish to the cat on the kitchen floor And the wind died too and I was still a child And the three of us watched as my mother smiled

  9. Nice! Quebec City is a fantastic place. Your so right about the food... very reasonably priced, and great attention to detail! I had a dijon gravy on a $15 steak there that was to die for... and I've never had anything like it before or since.
  10. ... whenever I ... 1) need a good laugh 2) want to enter a bizzare world of confusion 3) want to take a few minutes to breathe, in between high-stress work. 4) Promote shows, or to find out what I'm doing this weekend! 5) Want to share a funny or interesting internet video clip 6)
  11. Hip Hop Peaked long before the Blueprint. If it were an empire, the lead in the pipes would be killing the population now. The part of George W or Ceaser could be played by 50 Cent.
