I was just listening to these guys this morning. They sound like the Replacements trying to make an epic Springsteen album (think Boys and Girls in America). It's very punk. The opening paragraph of the Pitchfork review is what intrigued me to check them out:
Thanks for the link. I've had a bad rip of this for a while... the noisy stuff in Terrible Love sounded, well, terrible. I don't think these melodies/hooks are quite as immediate as Boxer, but the production sounds incredible. Love this band.
Nice 'Kanada Kev when Anaheim won the cup' style celebration, after the first round, Roller. Just to keep things in perspective, the President's Trophy winner has been knocked out in the first round 3 out of the last 5 years.
What Julia said. My life insurance/investment guy is a buddy from HS. He told me that between the swabs and blood tests (that are mandatory for some policies) they can always identify smokers.
This is going to be crazy. Saint John Sea Dogs vs Moncton Wildcats SJ has been the top team in the league all season, Moncton has put up a 46-7-1-2 record since Dec. 1 and really loaded up at the trade deadline. They split their season series with Moncton laying a thumping in the final game of the regular season.
I can't understand why Boudreau continues to use AO at the point on the PP. He has Green, Carlson, Corvo, Poti all in the lineup... it's not like there's no suitable D-men to choose from.
Thing is, the Habs came back out and played a strong 10 minutes to start the 3rd. The game could have still gone either way. It was the back-to-back Ovechkin, Chimera goals that killed them.
