  1. Yesterday was a blast. It was great to see all you cats raging out there. Yay Canada. I left sometime during Lauzon and got there after Hux Pux, and to be honest, missed Lure to walk my dog, but all in all, the music I saw was great.

    Swell. :)

I'm glad I got to give the Spades a second chance; loved their sound. The John Henry's tore it up, and were well-dressed taboot. Other than that, I think Velvet made a jackass of himself, good to hear his intengrity is still in tact though. ;)

"Easy on the ego stroking" -mooose

Edit to Add: Missed the episode but Brad, glad to hear you're okay.

  2. I think it's funny how very differently those two pieces read and fit together. At best, it's speedbump for an administration with little to lose. I think it's a great statement, and patches up one loop-hole in the system that they take advantage, or have taken advantage of. It's going to be a crazy two years. Batten down the hatches, there's a Texan on the loose.

  3. Steven Hawkings - lead vocals, synthesizer and e-drums

    Chuch Norris - slammin' drums

    Jon Ashcroft - 'bomb-droppin' bass

    Britney Spears - stage prop

    Monica Lewinski - trombone

Song would be idioteque by Radiohead

Pyrotecnics will be provided by George W. Bush, with help from his father, former president George Bush Senior.

Greased-up deaf guy will make a special appearance.

  4. For Bluegrass, there's a lot going around.

Topping the list in my opinion is Yonder Mountain String Band

David Grisman is a legend and a virtuoso

SCI suck; yes, it's on topic

    Bela Fleck is amazing

    Gillian Welch is an angel

    John Hartford is a forefather

as is Bill Monroe and many others; brain fart

South Austin Jug Band are great

There's a lot of good bluegrass in Colorado; a feeding ground for collaborations of all kinds.

Bluegrass has definately taken a self-induced tangent or diversification of the genre itself over the last little while and things have gotten really interesting. Fusion is the future. I''m thinking drum and bass with bluegrass ripping overtop but that's just me.
