  1. Watching right now. On the lower right, under "previously on MOD" click watch video. http://www.muchmusic.com/tv/mod20/comingup.aspx?day=mon
  2. fuckin' boilermakers... geez.
  3. Thanks Mike, I thought about PM'n you about it but figured I'd see if anyone else here uses the feed and if it was working for them first.
  4. Russian/Ukrainian/English heritage. Although I haven't eaten some of these dishes in years, I did fairly regularly while growing up. -Cabbage rolls -perogies -boiled potatoes (always when growing up) -ponchiki -ukha (fish soup) I also ate a lot of wild game (moose, venison, bear, elk etc) since my Dad was an avid hunter for many years, up until my early teens anyway. Now-a-days, I still get moose, caribou & musk ox meat for BBQ'n, usually around mid-march I have some caribou & musk ox sent to me from a friend in the Yukon & get my moose meat (usually ground) from a buddy on the rez. I eat a good amount of fish as well (bass/pickerel/perch), especially since I do a fair bit of camping/portaging & fishing during the summer. I have had some great perch dinners recently though, after a couple of ice fishing trips this year. Aside from that, I eat your everyday foods as I'm not the most creative (or just lazy I guess) when it comes to cooking.
  5. Anyone else get the RSS feed from the torrents forum? If so, is it working for you? I still get updates from my other feeds (CBC, archive.org etc) so I know the issue isn't with google.
  6. Matter of opinion. As for you winning, I guess you do since I wasn't competing, just offering examples other camping/music events, since Mike asked and there were no comparisons made to this three act concert. And as for mariposa, there is ample camping with minutes of the festival.
  7. Being the inaugural show/festival at this location and after reading the website, and comments posted here, I would wager everyone knows about the same concerning the venue & services offered.
  8. Here's some off the top of my head. Mariposa Folk Festival Lose Your Shoes Canterbury Folk Festival Hillside Festival Tottenham Bluegrass Festival Folk & bluegrass festivals are huge in Ontario, too many to list or remember. And if you step away from the whole jamband/folk/bluegrass scene, the list would be even larger..

  10. Well, it turns out my friend didn't have to work so I ended up not being able to go, I just couldn't spend the money this week, so a free ticket was my only option. Sounds like a great show though. Luckily, my night wasn't a complete write off, I did get to take one of these for a test drive... 2008 Harley Davidson Rocker C
  11. Actually I never stated the tour was cancelled, hence the question mark & opening statement. At the time I posted this thread the bands website had no info on the rumor, today they have this posted... From their website... http://www.van-halen.com/news.html From Billboard: http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003718728 I'll be editing my thread title/question in a few seconds.

Check out the parent directory, for other artists. Personally, I would recommend these for sure.. Stairwell Sisters Tut Taylor Uncle Earl Earl Brothers Country Gentlemen Steel String Theory But you really can't go wrong with anything this site offers, and donate if you feel inclined, it's well worth it..

You can find alot of shows here (in mp3 & lossless) of Hartford's. As well many other great folk/bluegrass artists. Great site, been a favourite of mine for years now. 14. I have the AUD (off master) recording from 78 that is circulating, which is complete with all the songs in the correct order. Obviously, the sound quality doesn't revival the official release but it sounds great (in my opinion) and it's great to hear the set as it was played originally. http://www.phishhook.com/view/details.php?recID=4827871
  15. Nice Jeff, that collection of solo albums were some of the first rock & roll albums I ever got as a kid in the late 70's. Currently listening to...
  16. I'm still waiting to hear if I'm getting a ticket from a friend who may have to work, so it'll be sometime after 5pm before I find out. If I end up going, I'll be in for some pre-show drinks somewhere. [edit] Looks like if I go I'll be stopping in at a friends place.
  17. [color:red][edit to add] Original thread title: Van Halen tour cancelled? Thread title edited since at the time of posting this (mar. 2), the rumor was the tour had been cancelled, today (mar. 3) it appears that the tour is only postponed. [color:red][/edit] ------------------------------ Not sure how official it is, but not really a big surprise I suppose.. http://www.tmz.com/2008/03/02/van-halen-tour-unhinged Here's the video that TMZ links to, where Eddie is seen throwing his guitar on the ground and then knocks over a couple amps while leaving the stage.
  18. Wow - terrible news. From his website... http://www.jeffhealey.com/home.htm
