  1. Living Color opened for those Stones show, for the CNE I horrible seats, but I was lucky enough to be second in line for bracelets when the Skydome show was announced on Q107. I was working across the street from the Bay Department store in Limeridge Mall, who had a ticketmaster outlet that seemed to go pretty much unoticed for a couple years. The show got announced and I put down my tin snips (I was a siding installer at the time) and headed straight for the outlet. It was a great spot to buy tickets in those days around here.
  2. Looking back, it almost seems like it would have been worth getting mediocre seats for the SRV/Beck show at Skydome and passing on the front row Stones tix I bought for the dec.89 Skydome show, which probally was the reason I passed on SRV..
  3. I wish I could have made that show... 02nov89 - The Skydome, Toronto, Ontario Notes: with Jeff Beck Setlist: The House Is Rockin Tightrope Look At Little Sister Mary Had A Little Lamb Texas Flood Wall Of Denial Superstition Cold Shot Couldn't Stand the Weather Crossfire Voodoo Chile Riviera Paradise Goin' Down [color:red][edit to add] I don't think this is from the skydome, but its from the same tour.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1f8cf-Dc4I
  4. I still have the ticket stub for that show, it was in may 1988, MLG. There are DVD copies floating around, but here's a video from that show... 5. Thu, 24 August 1989: Los Angeles, CA, Universal Amphitheatre Info Tommy-Show with special guests: Steve Winwood (Eyesight To The Blind), Patti Labelle (The Acid Queen), Billy Idol (Cousin Kevin), Phil Collins (Uncle Ernie) and Elton John (Pinball Wizard).
  6. Stevie was playing within travelling distance around that time, but any setlist data base I look at only shows these shows around and on that date... 21jun89 Memorial Auditorium, Burlington, VT 24jun89 Lake Compounce Festival Park, Bristol, CT 25jun89 Great Woods Amphitheater, Mansfield, MA Had had played in Ottawa, Montreal & Toronto a week earlier.
  7. Checking out a Who setlist site, they have a artcle/review from newsweek posted about the Glen Falls show.. http://www.thewholive.de/suche/show_review.php?id=91 I would say by looking at the other 89 dates they didn't have an opener at all. 1989 tour setlists
  8. I don't think there was an opening band, the 23rd was the kick off of that tour and the show was quite long (first set they performed 'Tommy') and I remember there was a rather long intermission. [color:red][edit to add] The 23rd was actually the second show of the 89 tour, Glen Falls 06/21 with no opening act was the first, my mistake.
  9. About the Canadian "Do Not Call" list... http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/NEWS/RELEASES/2007/r070703.htm http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2007/12/21/tech-calling.html
  10. Too bad the only junk mail I get isn't delivered by CP - even with the "no Flyers" sign we get shitloads.. What I'm trying to figure out is how to block all those calls from fax machines & from skype numbers...gotta love getting calls at 4am from numbers like > 000-000-0000, 123-456-7890 or ones that just say "California" instead of a number....reporting the numbers to my provider doesn't seem to help. I see that I'm not the only one either according to reports here. >> http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-000-000-0000 Thats the shit that really drives me up a wall..

    Funny!

Two Texans were out on the range talking about their favorite sex positions. One said, "I think I enjoy the rodeo position the best." "I don't think I have ever heard of that one," said the other cowboy "What is it?" "Well, it's where you get your wife down on all fours and you mount her from behind. Then you reach around and cup each one of her breasts in your hands and whisper in her ear: 'Boy, these feel just like your sister's.' Then you try and stay on for 8 seconds."

I'm diggin' my grave I'm diggin' my grave My road to hell is surely paved With all the love that I never gave I'm diggin' my grave Oh lord I'm diggin' my grave And the hole is made With a pick and a spade And all the debts never repaid Oh how I wish that I could have stayed But the hole is made Oh lord the hole is made And the hole is shallow where I must lay The hole is shallow But that's okay Cause I'll have peace on my final day Down in this shallow hole where I must lay Well this July ground is mighty hard This July ground is mighty hard My back is broken My hands are scared This July ground is mighty hard Well lord I wish that I hadn't sinned Oh oh I wish I hadn't sinned That I could be with you again Oh oh I wish Oh I wish I hadn't sinned And the hole is shallow where I must lay And the hole is shallow but that's okay Cause I'll have peace on my final day Down in this shallow hole where I must lay This Iowa dirt is mighty cold This Iowa dirt is mighty cold And god will never rest my soul Down in this Iowa dirt so cold I'm diggin' my grave Well, I'm diggin' my grave My road to hell is surely paved With all the love that I never gave I'm diggin' my grave Oh lord I'm diggin' my grave - Diggin' My Grave William Elliott Whitmore
  14. $100 a month, man I guess I really don't use mine very much, I'm with Telus also, but its a pay-as-go. I've never used over $50 a month ($25-30 on average) and my phone seem to work anywhere (eg: ghosttown, on a boat in the middle of Buckhorn lake etc). Sorry I'm not much help man, I'm just sorta surprised because I thought Telus was alright (this is my first cell basically) & thought I was spending a lot of money on mine. I guess I won't bother trying a contract deal afterall if iot cost that much.
  15. Just in nero's 'Zedonk' liner notes there are 12 folks who post almost (if not) daily, and I would wager, there is easily 12 people mentioned who have participated this game. Only thing making this difficult is them not participating. Perhaps the game has just starting to run its course, my topic was a rather easy one that anyone could answer, yet it went almost two weeks sitting at 11 entries. Not to mention a few people have said they can't even open this thread anymore.
  16. Huh? Not sure how you figure that, but I just looked through 4 different CDs (by four different Canadian bands) some of which mention this board and/or more then 12 people who still actively post here, as well some have posted in this thread/game. Much like the topic after labour day (songs heard at CTMF), that ya'll said was the end of the game, its just a matter of the right people opening the thread. I can't think of any band that has mentioned my name in their liner notes, or else I would particpate in this topic.
