  3. I've used it for more then a year now at least, but I don't go to the actual site, I just added the RSS feed to my google homepage. http://www.google.ca/ig/directory?hl=en&root=%2Fig&dpos=top&q=hype+machine
  4. Tell me about it. I was 17 when it was released. Although, I am proud to say I was never a fan, nor have I ever purchased or even owned a single Guns and roses album and I imagine I never will.

  6. I understand that you are probally more informed then myself about this stuff, but when I look at my address on google the picture I get seems to be about two years old and the MSN seems to be more current. Google still shows my backyard without the canopy (2005) and the blue car we sold in the winter of that year but MSN shows we have the canopy, which we bought and set up in spring 2006, although the drive-way is empty.

  8. Still vertical my friend, no complaints. See you in sept.
  9. Well said kc. People either whine that its the same old bands, or whine that they don't know who the bands are. Whatcha gonna do.
  10. Are they gettin' eighth graders to write this shit? Got my cousin's wedding tomorrow in St. Catherines, so hopefully they have worthwhile stuff left on sunday.

  12. Not sure what happened to my post... But since most folks trust wiki more then a bands actual website, I guess this is a better post.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollin'_Stone
  13. From the Muddy Waters song "Rolling Stone".
  14. Seen two live on that list : Pearl Jam with Neil Young, Sound Garden & Blues Traveler @ the CNE. Metallica @ Maple Leaf Gardens in '86. Aside from RATM I have absolutley no interest in seeing any of the others. (I've listened to most of them though) Only ones I hadn't heard until tonight when I went to their sites/myspaces were The Hold Steady, Gogol Bordello, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse & LCD Soundsystem - none of which impressed me.
  15. Agreed Newrider, the new album is great. Sad they can't shake the "albatross around their neck" called "Gin & Juice" though. As well, that silly bluegrass classification always given to them. Heres a few other reviews..(links from their website) Austin Music Magazine features The Gourds (PDF) Noble Creatures is "one of the more interesting...Americana records released this year" (Pop Matters Magazine) San Antonio Current - 'Creatures' comforts No Depression reviews The Gourds' Noble Creatures (Yep Roc records)
  16. Hence why they have been called "The best band in Austin" the last six years. - Texas Music Magazine [color:red][edit to add] After reading that, I see theres another writer who shoulda done some homework...

  18. I understand what your saying Jaimoe, but I really doubt that water cars will be the "straw that broke the camels (water) back" so to speak if they become popular, dripping facuets will still waste more water per year then a water car will in my opinion. Agreed. Although I do not have a very large lawn (I live in a townhouse) we have alreayd decided to get the green water barrel(s) that the city of Hamilton is selling to reduce what water we use in the garden & lawn. http://www.greenventure.ca/ecohouse.asp?ID=282
  19. 8 liters of water (reused) to cross the country is a waste? Approx. 3785 liters (1000 gallons) of water to make 3 liters (1 gallon) of gasoline. What do you think about showers or baths then? Approx. 151 liters for a shower (over 10 minutes) Approx. 137 to fill a bath [color:red][edit to add] I'm not trying to argue with you Jaimoe, just curious.
