  1. Ha - 4 cases of beer. I took it rather easy in that dept.
  2. Thats shitty Matt, I hope you find your stuff. Great to see you over the weekend, been a long time. We prefer to be called Sons of the soil.
  3. That was a great weekend, both for music and partyin' with friends, old and new. I had a blast. Really glad I decided to head up for it. Big thanks to Show_Whore for gettin me there and home. I really enjoyed every band I saw, although I did drop the ball on some of the acoustic music as I kept running into so many good people I had to catch up with. I have to say the musical highlight for me was Superstack - I have no idea how or why I haven't seen them before but they blew my head right off. I remember standing in the saloon and thinking it was like Humble Pie showed up with 1976. They put on one serious rock show. Shit, I didn't realize there would be a quiz Great to have met you as well Will.

One of my favourites has always been... Another well known one would probally be "Eddy" from Iron Maiden.
  5. Ok - I wanna get my 3!~ and also add a serious song by this guy, as he wrote songs for Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Hank Williams Jr.. Sweet Wine Of Sorrow
  6. I'll let this one speak for itself (the file is tagged) no title is required.. Niether song I've posted is work friendly.
  7. Turn it up and sing along... Roger Alan Wade.. Gone Back To Whorin'...
  8. I deleted my previous post because it will contradict my statement now. Family obligations have changed so I may just end up at seeing some of ya'll afterall. Just remember though, if I'm being extra friendly with ya, it may be probally because I wanna bang your old lady. Thats as positive as I will can get.
  9. Happy birthday Marc0. Straight up, solid mutha-fucker - let's hear it.
  10. Now we're talking Grateful Dead! I have to agree. Honestly, I can't think of any Grateful Dead album thats got more play around here over the years. This was a standard in every car I ever drove (since hearing it). Ok, what I really meant to say was: Good Morning Little School Girl Dark Star St. Stephen The Eleven Death Don't Have No Mercy
  11. For one, I am. I don't have or have heard every GD show out there. I love getting the professional made recordings of great GD shows over the fan recorded AUDs or generic SBDs that inhabit the internet and I also enjoy the CD artwork and liner notes included.
  12. Cool Jay, like I said, I wasn't meaning anything personal. Was just discussing. I still feel that Grisman is taking it a bit far, especially since the really violations are being made by the uploaders, not Youtube. Unless of course Youtube chose to ignore requests to remove the content (unlikely). When you upload videos to Youtube you agree that you have permission to or that you are the copyright holder of the video or content within. The sad thing is most of what I saw (but not all) that was up on youtube was stuff you can download on almost any live music trading site like Trader's Den. Most appeared to be clips from shows that taping (audio or video) was permitted. Anyway, I fully believe he has every right to protect or defend his art/craft, but I also feel suing over this is a bit much.
  13. So, if they don't watermark or disallow the download option then their pictures are up for grabs without as much as getting prior permission or giving credit? I'm not attacking ya here Jay and I mean nothing personal but your above comment seems sorta bullshit to me. Same could be said for Grisman then, he understands the internet or his lawyers do at least. Perhaps he should disallow taping (both audio and video) at his concerts, ban trading online (like ABB) and use DRM or something to the like to make sure his CDs and DVDs cannot be copied and shared online. Aside from hiring people to screen and approve what gets uploaded (they don't), Youtube does try to stay on top of that shit best they can and I can attest that Youtube doesn't waste time to remove videos that the artist or copywrite holder doesn't want on there. I personally think Grisman is taken it a bit to far with a lawsuit. (In my opinion anyway) Again, nothing personal Jay
  14. Nice, I should just be getting back from the cottage around that time. Thanks a ton for bringing all these great shows to Hamilton Brian. Looking forward to it.
  15. I've recieved emails (still have them) from both the BBC and Texas Songwriters Assoc. via Youtube saying if I did not remove certian content legal action would follow due to copyright infringement, in this case I had a Joni Mitchell video (BBC 71) and a John Prine video (ACL 91 I think), both were songs NOT shown on the original broadcasts, nor were released officially. Youtube removed the videos right away, then disabled my account without notice and from what I can tell have banned my IP from starting a new account. I can't say I fault Grisman for not wanting his material (official or not) on youtube, but suing seems a bit extreme given they do actually take care of removal at the artists requests and are seemingly on top of it.
  16. Nice Brad, Uncle Earl are great. I didn't realize they were up on archive now (2yrs now I see). I've always grabbed their shows via FTP over at SPPS website.
