    Trader's Den

Are there any seeders or leechers on the torrent you started?.
  2. re: Tom Waits - I couldn't agree more, throw some John Prine in that mix too. Right on, glad ya'll are checking em out and perhaps enjoying, again the studio is so tame in comparison (although still awesome) to the live show they put on. I feel like I'm hyping em a bit too much, but shit...they really are that good (showhore will tell ya) They left me standing jaw wide open. Vocals, musicianship/talent..was so tight, so together. Very pro. I may be drunk, but I heard music last night I only dream of making, let alone hear someone play. I absolutely love when that happens...
  3. Honestly, the last time I felt like this about a band, was when I heard the Gourds for the first time. I wish I could make the sneaky dees show tonight, I really do. Bands like this (as rare as they are) make me proud to be Canadian.
  4. Newrider, Booche, Schwa, Willy, Scott (skankformelyknowas....), Tooly, Onthejourney (you should have been there!!) - you guys would love this stuff. I just know it. Ok..I'm drunk and am going go drink whatever beer I have lkeft while I listen nto these guys as loud as possible Fuck ya!
  5. Oh my freakin god! If you weren't at PJC last night, you missed a goliath of a show. Absoultely ridiculous... Do your self a favour, see this band, book this bnand, whatever, just fuckin see them live and be ready for a serious kick in the head.. but a good kick. Man oh man..do I have a new favourite Canadian band..I think I may. That show schooled me hard, show of the year for me. Once I get a copy of the multitrack recorded, I will share. Newrider, you would lose your shit over this. Thanks to Ken at PJC for this, I'm still dumbfounded by it all. Heres a link to their myspace, it does nothing in comparison to the live show... http://www.myspace.com/unitedsteelworkersofmontreal (ps: Yes..I'm still smashed)
  6. Heres a couple more... The Annotated Grateful Dead Lyrics By David Dodd Deadbase (online search) This one is my current favourite, every song (original and covers), how many times played etc. As well, solo stuff for each member anmd trvia. Grateful Dead Lyric And Song Finder

  9. I guess it would read a little strange, but it appears they are actually trying to do some good. Maybe this will help ease the "dumb" you were struck by. Waste Management Wins First-Ever Corporate Wildlife Habitat Council’s President’s Award

    Phish Videos

Check out Traders Den like I mentioned there are countless Phish DVDs there for download. No trade required, just an internet connection, HDD space and a DVD burner and perhaps some paitence as some downloads are huge (eg: Big Cypruss is around 25 GB I think) If you aren't into bittorrent, then I guess B&P is probally the way to go. I have all the Island Tour (8 DVDs) and the Phish Bluegrass DVD, but my DVD burner is out of commission or else I'd hook ya up. The best I could do is mail you my DVDs and you copy them, then mail mine back to me. (I'm in Hamilton) I'm not too worried about anything in return, unless you have some Dylan that I don't. PM me if that interests you.
  11. Ha - You just made me spit beer out. I vote this 'Best thread title' for a live show recording announcement. Hilarious. Going check it out now. Cheers

    BEER!!

Ha! I don't think I require any bong hits today...those 8.5% Duvel's and polyurethane fumes are doing me just fine right now, I had to step outside for a a little bit, even with the windows open those fumes kick. In hindsight, I probally shoulda did all that outside...
  13. Well, the thread title is a little misleading. Cate Blanchett is just one of seven people who will be playing Bob Dylan in the movie "I'm Not There". Christian Bale, Marcus Carl Franklin, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Ben Whishaw will also be play parts as Bob Dylan throughout different years in his life. [color:red][edit to add] Excuse my dumbass post, between beers and the polyurethane fumes today I have a bit of a head buzz happenin, I missed the very first part of the quote.... Anyway, should be an interesting film.
  14. Never really thought about which songs are my favourite, although I've never been a huge Phish fan. I'd guess Sample In A Jar and/or Sanity would probally be the ones that stick out most to me.

    BEER!!

Frosty cold fifty's and room temp Duvel's today sure make staining quarter round trim alot less boring. The polyerathane(sp?) fumes are helping out too.
  16. I downloaded that a few years ago off bt.dylantree. I see OINK has it up, funny they wouldn't let me seed the FLACs but they let the mp3s go ahead.
  17. Heres some more info on the this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traveling_Wilburys_%28box_set%29 Seems I already have most of the bonus tracks on the 2CD studio outtakes collection, but I'm excited to get those in 'A' quality now that they are being released.
  18. Agreed! No bell for me either. I switched to digital (Source Cable) last summer and haven't looked back. Internet, TV and telephone all on one bill. So much cheaper and I love that I get 1000 minutes free long distance a month and my local calling range goes beyond Toronto, Kitchener, Simcoe. I also got to keep my old phone number(29.95 a month) Only draw back is, if I want to call my brother in Scotland (UK) I have to purchase a calling card. But we usuall just talk via the computer and headsets (someitmes webcam). Also no 411. Saved tons of money so far.
  19. Oh - this is probally a better place to ask if nothing here is helpful. http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showforum=67
  20. Any burning program that burns data, will burn FLAC. For CD labels (I make all mine also), I use Photoshop CS 9 and just paste the text info in. Simple and quick.
  21. I use EAC and FLAC frontend together, it rips to FLAC with tags intact. Then I burn with nero (burn FLAC as data), tags also stay intact. Very user friendly and easy, once setup its a one step process. If they files don't already have the tags (usually live shows I download), I use FLACIFY.
