  1. Woo-hoo sweet Emmylou! Tickets on sale saturday morning. http://www.thespec.com/music/emmylou-lamontagne-and-gord-downie-too
  2. I can see that considering Boston/Montreal have met the most times overall in the NHL playoffs - 32 times, with the Habs leading 23 games to Boston's 9. The closest pairing under them has been Detroit/Leafs - meeting 23 times. Leafs 12 - Det. 11 3rd would be Montreal/Chicago - meeting 17 times. Mtl 12 - Chi 5
  3. Well, if the B's keep playing like they did last night I imagine you'll have your win, although I wouldn't count on an 8-0 (lol). I'm fearing a one goal game. Some interesting stats about these teams and the playoffs: Of the 21 series in which the Bruins took a 3-2 lead following game 5, this is the 12th in which they have been extended to seven games and they are 7-4 in their previous 11.The Bruins have a lifetime record of 9-10 in game 7s while the Canadiens enter tonight's game with a 13-8 record overall in 7th games.Tonight's game is the 8th game 7 between MTL and BOS in their histories with Montreal holding a 5-2 advantage over Boston in previous contests. :nhl:
  4. Power play failure for the B's this entire series has been killin em (imo), as well the Habs ability to capitalize on their stupid mistakes (give aways, penalties etc) hasn't helped them either. Add to that some awesome goal tending from Price. Been a great series if you ask me, although game five by far was the best all around, both teams looked great. A great example of why they (Bruins/Habs) are the best rivalry and match up in the NHL. Should be a tense one tonight.
  5. Bob Dylan & The Band The Spectrum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 7th Jan 1974 Lineage: Low gen tape > CDR > EAC > Flac LosslessBob entry: LB-2647. sounds better than previous version from lowgen bittorrent which is a different recording as it does not have brief background talking on d1t3 2:09, 2:44; very good sound B > Fix of LB-2647: WAV > Wave Repair 4.9.3 to fix index clicks/micro gaps between all tracks and leading/trailing digital silences. 6. I asked my brother-in-law since he seems to have a good grasp on this stuff and updates his. Although he said he has a different gps then yours, he did send me this link. Includes torrent links and other links for required tools. I can't vouche for this, but maybe it'll help or at least point you in the right direction. http://www.haklabs.com/2010/garmin-2011-gps-update/
  7. "in your face 12 year old girl!" Now that's a class act.
  8. Understandable. I certainly wouldn't criticize or condemn anyone for wanting to go, or going. I just made my mind up I wouldn't be part of it anymore, especially since I complain and bitch about prices - it stings sometimes though, especially when his Bobness comes around. Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys the show.
  9. I already posted this on my facebook in reply to Booche, but I'll post it here as well. Boston played rather sloppy and paid for it, Habs capitalized on those mistakes. Regardless, I thought it was a good game. Agreed, I had Price pegged for first star based on the second period alone. He played a great game.
  10. If the price of the ticket was going directly to Neil I'd go for it, but we all know where the bulk of those ticket prices go and I'm just not going to support it - I miss a lot of great shows, but I stand by my decision.
  11. Diapers and politicians should be changed often, both for the same reasons.
  12. I know Massey is solo and I can see asking more for such an intimate show, but I won't be paying those prices. Although, I wouldn't pay that much for anyone now-a-days considering where the bulk of the ticket price actually goes. A quick look through my stubs I found these: Aug.18 1993 CNE GA - Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Blues Traveler, Sound Garden - $38 Oct. 31 1996 Copps 3rd row center - Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse - $48 I have a few others from the late 80's and late 90s but I can't find em at the moment.

  14. Decided to open a soundcloud account and give a try..figured I'd share a couple raw, rare, albeit short tracks with ya'll. They are downloadable (click the little arrow) for anyone interested. I'll let ya'll figure out who it is. Good-Bye Holly 1973 Rock Me Mama (take 1) 1973 first time recorded Rock Me Mama (take 2) 1973 - final time played/recorded
  15. NRPS facebook status earlier today said "RIP Neil Young". They were wrong, obviously and have since removed the post. Apparently it was Manchester's soccer legend Neil Young, although I couldn't find any info online.
  16. This may be the only thing Yoko Ono has ever done I agree with.
  17. Not too mention that commercial (flat) roofing and residential roofing are...wait for it...two different things altogether.
  18. Exactly why my doctor(s) in 1997 refused to ok my medicinal during my first cancer treatments. Only the my doctor at the Juravinski cancer centre here in Hamilton was willing to get involved, even though at the time the laws were even more muddy then they are now. My current doc also claims that *if* he were to sign off on me for approval he'd open the doors to harassment and scrutiny from both other doctors and the police. Exactly how true that is I can't say, but according him the process of prescribing or just giving his approval can cause enough issues that he isn't comfortable getting involved, for the most part for the reasons I quoted above. He's not against medicinal marijuana, just the bullshit that comes with getting involved. In my opinion, legalization shouldn't be the topic just right now, our gov't needs to stop dragging their heels on the medicinal issue and come to a final, solid decision - is it allowed or not? - plain and simple. By that I mean, if your going to issue permits for it, then stop busting/raiding the clinics that try and create a safe, clean and controlled environment for patients to obtain their medicine and provide doctors with the necessary education, literature and training not to mention clear laws, they require AND have been asking for all along. As well, start educating the authorities on this issue. I know two people with permits that have been busted and harassed on a few occasions for growing in their backyard (the legal number of plants) only to have the plants destroyed and then be released without charges and without as much as an apology after the police did some homework and found out they were within their legal rights to possess, grow and smoke. Personally, I'm not concerned about getting a permit now-a-days. For the most part my needs just aren't the same anymore so I've given up trying and hell, I'll grow and smoke regardless. [color:red] [edit to add] Our gov't also needs to be educated that remission doesn't mean cured.
