  1. a couple of friends of mine prepared their usual amount of gear in the usual way, both have a large tolerance and take 50mls (250 mgs) of methadone so use .6 or .7 between them, this time the girl got a third of the way down the syringe and felt similar symptoms as when you are about to 'go over'- extreme itching (unbearable) blood rush to the head, funny taste in mouth etc. after a while she had the rest of the hit and this passed off normally. this then happened to the chap same symptoms but with some face swelling. Am i right in thinking this was high levels of codeine causing this?
  2. I thought Bob Seger was the dad on the full house show.

  4. Depends on your area of course, Hamilton is weird when it comes to internet (certain companies have a monopoly on certain areas), but it seems a lot of folks here like Teksavvy. http://teksavvy.com/en/default.asp

    Are You Kind?

Doing either of those would land me in jail, or get me punched in the face.

  9. Just like to add to Jaimoe's comment, if your digging deeper into Muddy, do your self a favour and listen to some Son House & Charlie Patton, both were big influences on Muddy. I would also recommend listening to some Robert Lee McCollum (aka: Robert Nighthawk) if your a fan of the raw electric blues sound. I personally put the Nighthawk right up there with Muddy. oypAbJj-fEs off topic I know, but damn..

    BEER!!

Since my liquor store starting carrying Dead Elephant in larger numbers (eg: I can by a dozen) I haven't even tried another ale...guess I should get back at it but that beer is just so fuckin' good. Some interesting selections posted I wanna try now.
  11. I'm not quite sure I understand this. I really don't see any "hate" going on here at all, just a differing personal taste & opinion. So Arcade Fire are having fun on stage, awesome. Bands like new kids on the block, black eyed peas, Celine Dion etc. all look like they are/were having a fun onstage as well from what I've seen - in fact, I'm hard pressed to think of any band up on stage making boat loads of money, doing something they love NOT having fun when they play (ok, maybe GnR is an exception). That's just not enough for me to love, or even enjoy the music. I guess what I'm really curious about is, why is a differing opinion, or taste in music considered "hating on" or being a "cranky ass" or is this just one of those situations where it's love the band or keep your mouth shut? (much like we've seen with Phish or The Slip around here) Honestly, I have all three of their albums on my computer, all due to the accolades I've read here, and quite honestly, with no offense to anyone, nor the band but I find most of their music to sound the same - I wish I could elaborate further, but I won't for fear of sounding like I am trashing them - which is not my intention here. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see a Canadian band get the grammy, and more importantly, a band not seemingly created by some wise ass record exec sitting in an office - but album of the year? Can't say I hear it, but good for them.
