Esau. reacted to Booche in What are you listening to right now?
I've probably posted this a number of times before but even if I havent this is a definite must-watch/feel. It's been my mantra, or muse or whatever, for about 3 years now. This song is heavy.
I still remember the first time I heard it and will never forget the drive I was on during a Sunday night listening to Strombo via CBC over the airwaves (vote for CBC everytime). Easily my life could have taken a turn off that road and ended it because I was so enthralled in the message being conveyed to me at that moment with the possibility of heading into or off a cliff. Whenever I hear this song, more importantly this version, I immediately recognize how fleeting life is.
That's the beauty of a killer song.
This will always bring me to my knees much like Stella Blue offers the same................this shit is legit

God-damn, I love that Bouncing Around The Room. That's a proper hometown tribute including song teases of Slave, PYITE , First Tube and a melody I couldnt place during the intro chords. Every Phishead needs to watch/listen to that one. That's totally epic.

Not sure when I downloaded it - most likely years back when I cruised all corners of the blog-o-sphere downloading anything & everything that looked good to me. Truth be told, I kind of didn't realize I had it. That track showed up showed up one night recently during a playlist shuffle (on winamp - yes, that's still my main player) and I've had a hard time not playing it daily since. Great stuff for sure.

Esau. reacted to bouche in Ottawa Bluesfest 2018 Official Thread
I'm not aware of any.
The main stage acts seem to help the festival maintain a large presence allowing them to program blues and other genres on the smaller stages and interior stage in the museum.
These smaller stages are by no means small, they are certainly overshadowed by the mainstage acts and we can basically just consider this a music festival without any genre in the brand.
It is certainly time to change the brand. Ottawa Folk Festival was successfully rebranded as CityFolk Festival. Why not simply just call the bluesfest, the Ottawa Hot Humid and Sometimes Stormy Live Music Festival?
Be descriptive and reflective. ?
also, I was digging for old posts on this topic and love this post from Velvet in 2009 referencing acts that have been rumoured to appear.
