  1. Is it now more or less appropriate to say one is 'ghost like swayze'. I'm guessing.... less?
  2. Ghost Rock is an unbelievable album!!
  3. We played with the Bridge a couple times in Hartford.. the guitar player (Chris) was a really tasty player, in a southern rock kinda way, and they also had this awesome mandolin/beat boxer kid named Kenny. He's awesome if he's still in the band. They're like the pride of Baltimore.

I heard a rumour the infamous lab-coat Homer would be wrecking party this year..?
  6. Or, we could even take things a step further by striking not only the bags, but the packaging and other hidden consumer costs. Get back to basics:
  7. Wishing Kyla the happiest of birthdays!! Welcome to the club kiddo! lub, me. MWA! XOXO
  8. Dave Casey, couldn't find a nicer or more dedicated fan. welcome dude!
  9. hahahaha.. yeah, just sharing frustration I guess.. you got me thinking though hux- we should start having flash mob parties.
  10. So on Friday, moeron and I are strolling and decide to stop for some Gelato. After looking at all the lovely flavours, we look up at the staff of three girls (heavily made-up early 20s chatty) and wait for service. As we are standing there, staring directly at them, we notice they are holding small 'tasting' spoons. Kinda weird. Their chat continues and one of the girls (oblivious to the premise of health codes) sucks the remains off her spoon and dips it back into the raspberry gelato. "UUuggh- As if you just put your spoon back in!!?" I reacted right away, loudly, and she turned and walked away, maybe realizing she was busted. I mentioned it to her colleague who maybe didnt notice..(who also had a spoon in her hand) and she was like 'no i don't think so, what do you want?' So we were like 'nothing' and left. After mentioning it to a few people, I thought it might be wise to get in touch with the manager/owner of the gelato shop to report the incident.. After I told him the story, and that I wouldnt be back.. he said: ' you wont be back? Then why are you calling?' and I was like 'because your business could be making people sick and I'm going to warn my friends not to go there' .. and he was like 'so WHY WOULD YOU CALL?!" and hung up on me!! Not only did he never apologize, or relay disgust, he got agressive with me!! Isnt't allowing staff to taste at their own discresion kind of a bad place to start?
  11. I've been called a prick a few times. I also hate meeting new people.
  12. 'No no no... they weren't torturing moose!! They were busy vandalizing a church..!' Thats an awesome excuse.
  13. The real fiasco is that you didn't know a judge before entering this! its nepotism maaaan.
  14. The tower at the top reminds me of that great lunch-time show, Forest Rangers.
  15. Hey Meggo- wait til Saturday and me and moe.ron will try the Luskville Falls with you!
  16. Have fun!! I'm sure it'll be a rockshow. I'm not going- but I have to admit, I sure am looking forward to it being over! Ottawa's rock stations have all been ACDC-fm for like 3 months... I used to like them once in a while.. not anymore.
  17. Is he of Jamaican descent? He seems to have that reggae and dance hall truly sound truly embedded in his soul!! It's just unreal that he's white!
  18. Whoa!! As part of the 'Franco Folies' Festival! We can't make it, but I have a feeling it would be a great show! Franco Folies Fest
  19. ..aah yeah, she is kinda intimidating, eh Ollie. Apparently the co-owner, her husband Bruce Myles, was on the original 67s and was considered the best fighter in the league. I'm sure the pair could take on the whole bar at any point- which makes them pretty perfect for the job. Just be good- and they'll be happy to serve you! The staff is really cool, and yes meggo- i love having flush options as well.
  20. cosmicc- what did Ollie do to get kicked out? Did he lose at pool and smash the cue over some old guys head like that time at the Dominion?
  21. hmm- I dunno? I guess they are pretty strict with their rules- being the place used to house prosititutes and derilects. It's all cleaned up now, so they are pretty on point when people are acting up, or too drunk.. (ahem..) I think it's a nice place to catch some music and drink some beers. (not draught for me- although they have beau's on tap and I can't resist, and always get super hungover) The Carleton is where it's at really. No cover ever, 6.50 quarts and a good juke box.
  22. Anyone checking this out? Last couple times they've played 11:30-2, and you can pretty much walk in for free after midnight. Lots of Pink Floyd covers, Sarah Harmer, Weeping tile- good stuff. something to consider.
