I think the 'jamband moniker = double edged sword/whatever' is a little played out. No shit the media and everyone who listens/ reads about music hates the term. Man, I played in one, and I'm currently writing a retort on a website named after them, and I can barely choke the word out in conversation, even when its the most suitable word to describe a band.

The Flaps are also playing at the Elmdale on Friday Dec 4th. I've been hearing about them long enough, that I should check it out.

I can't wait to hear the band- what a great line up!!... but jeeez.. there is something a little freaky about that banner! It looks like 'The Christmas Story' with Heisholt as a friendly Scrouge and the other guys, torso-less and slightly out of focus; as the Ghosts of Xmas past present and future. Or some kind of wacky kids movie.. 'ghost bros'? Maybe it could be a musical feel good tale; 'the man who played guitar without a body.' although- the head would need to be able to fly to really get up and down the neck of a guitar. Anyway, rock on.

I still like UM! Although I really dont like when they do the jamtronica stuff. I like the shreddy prog stuff and the catchy songs. They do pretty mean smooth rock covers as well. (lookin at you Toto)
