I don't doubt they influenced some artists/bands. I just don't think they influenced many decent artists/bands. The country element to The Eagles was completely watered down to appeal to the masses. They may have been popular but they still sucked.
Yeah, I'm digging that album a lot. She and Him - Vol. 1 The Felice Brothers - Tonight at the Arizona Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On Brendan Canning - Something For All of Us Two Gallants - The Throes
Bernie Leadon played in the Burrito Brothers with Parsons. I don't think Bernie or Parsons would appreciate anyone thinking The Eagles had much influence on alt-country. Unless Alan Jackson and Brooks and Dunn are touring with Wilco and Son Volt.
ok' date=' you disrespectful little fucks. go sit in the corner and think about what you just said. the Eagles are one of the most influential bands in music history. [/quote'] You HAVE to be joking! They stole the California country sound and watered it down! The only good thing a member of The Eagles ever did was when Bernie Leadon quit that lame ass band and dumped his beer on Glenn Frey's ugly head!
