  1. Anyone got a link to this full album? And are there any others? So far I've only got the grey album- I love it.
  2. I like Fishbone- I even saw Fshbone but I don't have any Fshbone. pretty much meh on the others but my basis for POTUSOA would be their two hits mentioned. and the only other that is on my radar is Bela.
  3. see you cats there! I'll have Weirdness in tow.
  4. Science Fiction/ Double Feature Michael Rennie was ill the day the earth stood still But he told us where we stand And Flash Gordon was there in silver underwear Claude Raines was the invisible man Then something went wrong for Fay Wray and King Kong They got caught in a celluloid jam Then at a deadly pace it came from outer space And this is how the message ran: Science Fiction - Double Feature Dr. X will build a creature See androids fighting Brad and Janet Ann Francis stars in Forbidden Planet Oh-oh at the late night, double feature, picture show. I knew Leo G. Carroll was over a barrel When Tarantula took to the hills And I really got hot when I saw Janet Scott Fight a Triffid that spits poison and kills Dana Andrews said prunes gave him the runes And passing them used lots of skills But when worlds collide, said George Pal to his bride I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills, like a: Science Fiction - Double Feature Dr. X will build a creature See androids fighting Brad and Janet Ann Francis stars in Forbidden Planet Oh-oh at the late night, double feature, picture show. I wanna go, oh-oh, to the late night double feature picture show. By RKO, oh-oh, at the late night double feature picture show. In the back row at the late night double feature picture show. At about 5 I was enthralled with this album- and that was right about when I was listening to albums- another favorite of the time wass Tubby the Tuba!
  5. ...that tune- when you're young you get high....well its just one of the many cool things about this movie. We just rewatched it last night and well- it's pretty classic. Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughen and Luke Wilson at some of thier best. Maxy- ear muffs!
  6. if there were 1500 people on the guest list then only a very small fraction of them turned up- was not a hard one to get into at all. kevO you likely could have come at 8 and not a worry have gotten in. Was a very down tempo very chatty show- I mean them not the audience. interesting -makes me want to listen to them more. Hope this show series comes around again- Basher your our link! (I did look for a mailing list to sign up for but no go)
  7. If they let the total list count go as high as whatever let's stay conservative with your initial comment of 1500 let alone a plus one on top of that to make it at least 2500+, then that is just awful! even if half those people show up then with only 300 spots I guess you had better be there early and prepare to wait. Hopefully we get in- we'll give it a try anyway~! We'll hope for some first timers luck. Also will add- Have had a great time seeing the Skanks at Both MMJ and Stars/Islands as well as enjoying the shows. Even with a wait- you can't beat free!
  8. Funniest point in the evening when right at the beginning when Gary first came on stage he played like two notes and looked at someone in the front row and said "what I've only played two notes and already your taking notes??"- and guess who he was talking about TimmyB! Funny stuff- So yah Where's your full review Timmy
  9. Drive By truckers Shots March 19th 2008
  10. Then certainly don't forget these:
  11. great my heart goes out to you.
  12. all i'm saying is- and this is from a reformed smoker- until your ready you might be fighting a losing battle- ok granted this is from my perspective. I imagine a large percentage of people these days who are smoking are probably quite aware of the odds. As I recall I sure did and it did not cut down on my enjoyment of it. As I said I'm just weighing in.
  13. Yup- you know being a reformed smoker- I must say- smoking is cool to me! - - I can still remember how good they tasted! But really, and I don't know why I weigh in on this when I am utterly silent on the board otherwise, if you are sneaking smokes while saying your quitting then you not quitting- I'm all for supporting the effort put into stopping smoking since it is apparently bad for your health (not that living in the world today isn't in many ways) but I firmly believe that this is a cold turkey situation. The more you drag it out the worse it is...it’s like a BandAid on a hairy arm- just rip it off quick. Ok maybe that is a bad analogy but I bet you can relate to what I'm saying. And honestly those three months were some of the hardest months I ever went through- but I also think if a weak willed person like me can manage it anyone can do it if they put their mind to it. So bottom line- enjoy it while you can and quit when and if you’re ready! Smoke 'em if ya gott'em.

  24. allthough I thought it took awhile to get into the groove for me- this was a great show. Both guitarists playing off eaach other in an awesome way. Love the Nils- The lulliby was sweet at the encore too. Best part of the night- when I got him to autograph some picutures for me as well as the action figure we have of him. He was a very approachable and gracious guy. Can't wait to see this guy again. He blows me away.
